82.3kg, the "mystical kilo" is gone! And with it some waistline, it's now 97cm=38". Not very surprised, when looking in the mirror you can almost start calling it a waist.

Think I will not change much this time before the scale starts with 81.

82.3kg. Ate some dangerous stuff yesterday, but think I cut down on the good.

82.3 looks to be my magical number, btw.

Don't know, think i saw some muscle in the arms today. But it may as well be the fat loss.

I don't think it is a problem to weigh yourself every day. Habits can be good, you seem to be in good spirits at least partially due to the developments of your new habits* and you seem fairly unlikely to catch a case of anorexia nervosa.

Typing in your daily weigh-in results probably doesn't make for good reading, but it isn't like it is going to bother anyone and it does add some vague form of accountability that just might help you to maintain your new habits.

As an aside, my BMI is a little bit lower today due to the fact that I am about 1/2" taller due to the blisters*** from the long walk I took.

As healthful activities for the day, I did some very light weight lifting and for aerobic conditioning I whined extensively about how much my feet, ankles and my other parts hurt from my walk. Four hours of whining burns a surprisingly large number** of calories.

*mostly due to the achievements

***I wore shoes that were not up to the task, despite owning shoes that would have been fine.

Yes, will weigh myself practically every day for at least two years, probably "forever". But may present the readings in bigger chunks. In the end you are largely on your own, after getting some help.

If you can manage it, I recommend long term targeting exercise, which for me means little pain, and hence continuation. I do it one hour every day, taking it easy, but constantly on the move. Not doing the maximum (moaning) and then sitting around and doing nothing for long periods, as I see folks do. May write a book about the method one day

81.9kg. First time on this side of 82. I have methods to go up if it becomes a problem. Drinking olive oil from the bottle is among them. You've got some healthy calories right there man.

Got an idea of when I list my readings a few weeks between I'll mark the highest count with red and the lowest with blue. The goal could be the extremes are about equally far from 82.5kg. That would be easy to follow and not needing adding and dividing. Of course I would also have to take into account that some of the values could be real outliers, but let's see how it works out. As long as the extremes are on different sides of the 82.5 I'll be quite fine.

This wording seems wrong but drinking would also be incorrect. Consuming might work. Sorry, pointless post really as I 100% knew what you meant

Think I had seven smoothies yesterday, that's about 800-900 cal, so obviously not my only nutrient! I also eat ready salads with some stuff from the animal kingdom in them. The salads have come to stay, and think I'll have five smoothies per day long term, that should ensure I get all the necessary ingredients. Stopped eating multivitamins when starting the VLCD-smoothies.

Berries and carrots are excellent snacks. Bought my first chocolate bar in three months some days ago, tasted a bit odd(!), but helped when I was late to the gym and hadn't eaten anything since lunch.

I went through a huge smoothie stage as I do think they're great for jamming the body with nutrients. Probably the biggest downside was that they made me ravenously hungry.

You are never really on your own in this or any other endeavor. You can be on your own if you wish, I guess.

I was in the best shape of my life when I was a boxer and goalie. It was the utter opposite of your workouts, but I think that you are on to something with your ideas since high intensity is unsustainable over decades for the vast majority of people. I really don't need to be in the best shape of my life. I just need to feel good.

I will, in my mind, title the great book that you will never happen to get around to writing The Habit, or to the Gym and Back Again.

82.2kg. So my weight dropping project is in its stabile phase. Will try to keep it near 82.5kg=182lbs. I go to the gym one hour each day. So in principle there isn't much to log on a daily basis. This has been among my main focuses for three months, and what I'm doing now is kind of a new default. But I need to concentrate on other things, life provides them.

Brian, you can use this thread, keep it alive! I will provide summaries of my weight at times, and drop in always when the time is right. Thanks to all of you for your support!

209 lbs. this morning. Somewhat disappointing, but a loss for the week is a loss. I went rogue one day this week because I'm a dumbass and forgot my food at home.

My super-supportive woman did mention this morning that I look slightly less like a badly drawn cartoon than I normally do due to my efforts and that I have to exercise on top of her tonight. That should burn at least 6 or 7 calories.

Will try to go for only five VLCD-smoothies today, the smallest amount since starting close to three months ago, and the amount I will probably continue having daily. Had three in the morning and two after coming home from work-gym. That would mean 600 cal/day from them.

I'm curious about this.

Since I'm extremely bad at being curious, I will ask a closed-ended question: Is this in an effort to get back to eating more actual meals?

Yes. But greatly based on vegetables. Had three ready bought salads yesterday. The five VLCD smoothies just make sure I get everything needed of every possible nutrient, instead of for example multivitamin pills and also fruit, which I eat very little of.

But pizzas, hamburgers, chips and sweets are largely part of history. Not dogmatically entirely though.

Did manage to have only the five smoothies btw, felt a bit strange, had some more vegetables late in the evening!
