I'm on a break. No access to gym. Left my scale behind. Too much snow to walk.

I'll do some body weight exercising, I guess.

Try to hold back on the eating! That's my only advice. Have a nice break!

Think I will have my scale with me wherever I go. A few days of messing things up means two months of work.

The plan now, if those below 80kg keep on popping up regularly, is to gradually (for avoiding abstinence ) extend the weight logging intervals to say two weeks, or about 10-15 days. If the 80kg+ start to dominate very much...well hope they won't...need to re-evaluate...

Trying to see other aspects of H&F besides weight.

Will IF today. Doing it when weighing a bit more should be a water proof method for not continuing going up? I may as well do it when it's needed with greater probability, even if higher readings can be largely variance.

In February: not to gym nine days. So in gym 19/28 = 68% of the days. Could do a bit better, but two thirds of the days is ok this time.

First average below 80kg in, what is it, two months. Really had to put in some mental work. Now hoping just knowing the weight each day guides what and how much to eat and drink in the right direction.

Will probably go to the gym only weekdays, after work. So it would be max five days a week. Need some rest too, and other activities. Upper body workout kept at a minimum, because of the shoulder "tendency"

Looks I've found the balance again. Brian, could you save this thread?

Should be a month or two before I get to visit my scale. I do have my tape measure, which is indicating that I've at least not gotten more fat around the middle.

I've been exercising every other day. Not counting walking, of course. Walking is just part of life.

The tape measure is a really good idea. Have thought about if all electronics were wiped out rendering the scales useless in our digital era, there's always that tape measure, something for preppers to remember!

Only problem is it's a bit less exact than standardized weighing. But I bet it's quite accurate to +/- 3 lbs. So looks you are doing good.

Will quit my gym statistics from today. Spring is coming, want to open up for also other partly physical activities. It has become a routine to go half an hour to the gym after work. If that routine is greatly endangered I figure I'll start doing the gym times counting again, otherwise will see if I can get benefits from expanding the activity.

Anyhow I have got a hunch about physical activity and maybe prevented some muscle to get lost when losing weight. No way I'll return to the passivity I was in before!

That was coffee. I've also eaten two salads this week. On purpose.

Hoovering a bit above 80kg. Delayed and cut down nutrition after yesterday's 80.8kg, that pays off immediately in the short term and is also a brick in controlling long term. Playing with the thought of taking it at least once to 78.x kg, to get some margin.

79.4kg. Weighed that little last time 18 February. It's nice when you can get 1-2 kilograms down on demand, just keep your eyes open for trouble.

78.7kg. This went faster than expected. Some margin to eat. For making things easier 80.0 will stay the goal.

I'm thinking about if presenting averages would be enough in the future. Even though the exact "drama" of this then would be hidden:

March:
17-79.4kg
18-78.7
19-80.0
20-79.9
21-79.7
22-80.3
23-79.9
24-79.8
25-80.4
26-80.2
27-80.4
28-80.7
29-80.7
30-80.7

Average: 80.1kg

This could also be presented: "Got it down a bit below 80, toward the end of the fortnight it started to get a bit above". What to do? Surprise, surprise, will eat/drink a bit less calories, using various methods. The vegetables have been integrated for a long time. Then the intermittent fasting idea, just not eating by postponing meals and then eating less when getting to it. Leaving out the chocolate bar before gym could be a winner.

The average will give a hint about a possible success. Will continue weighing myself every day for knowing where we are, less work to do if (when) the slipping starts. Maybe reporting a weekly average, with some comments, would be ok? For flexibility it could be 1 or 2, maybe max 3 weeks in between, early Saturdays seem to be appealing

Think my shoulders definitely are better now, don't in fact feel (almost) any pain when lifting up the left arm sideways. Have trained exclusively the lower and middle body for a long time. All points towards I did something wrong when training the upper body, even if being careful. Will probably be content with the exercise the arms get automatically without actually training them, could be for the best.
