Rounding the upper back is ok. This discussion was about something else, but look at the video links: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...&postcount=125

My $.02: Other than what Cha said above and Yugo said in his post (minus the shoulder blades), Turn around and stop facing the mirror.

I wasnt exactly planning to attempt 350. 327 was on the program. I had Yugo & YTF here (I've been lacking a spotter a lot of bench days lately), & I was feeling good, so I figured why not give it a shot. It got up maybe half way and I couldnt move it any farther.

bowling at Blainebrook

252 243 204 = 699

!@#$%^&!

Best series so far this year.... but..... I had a shot at a 242 going into the 10th frame of the last game. I missed left and it went in heavy. I left a 4 6 9 10 split - 3 on the far right and one on the left. I look at the scoresheet & I need to get 3 of the 4 for 701. I shoot for the 3 and miss by less than an inch right. The ***ing 6 pin misses the 9 and goes behind the 4. 699.

One other bad frame in the first game - 9th frame I throw what I thought would be a decent shot but it stayed right and never really hooked. I left a bucket (6) on the left side. On the spare shot I threw what I thought would pick it up and it didnt hook again, so I left 2 pins for an open. On that lane I had kind of an in-between slick area that I had to stay away from the rest of the night.

Another thing - second guessing myself now. Late in the 2nd game I was leaving lots of 10 pins so I switched balls. I got no strikes with my other two balls the 1st 5 frames of the 3rd game, so I switched back to my 1st ball in the 6th frame and threw a 4-bagger before the 10th frame disaster. I should have stayed with the 1st ball and just moved my feet left.

sigh. avg now 208.9

No. 700 is just a milestone. Its a big series for me. Last season I shot 5 of them and this season I have zero.

Idk if I mentioned, but that's exactly my best game too. League play... about 18 years ago.

yeah.... I remember once ~18 - 20 years ago, in the 10th frame of the 3rd game I left a Greek church (4 6 7 9 10) in the 10th & got 3 of them for 698 or 699, so this type of thing has happened before, but it still hurts.

15. Only averaged around 180-185 iirc. Maybe 190 in one league, but I don't really remember. I still have the same ball, a Hammer. It has its production date on it... 1993!!! My dad always averaged over 200 and taught me. I should have kept bowling imo, but I still have time and I'll probably get back into it. My dad hasn't bowled in years either, and I'm trying to get him to start a recreational team with me just for fun.

That's very cool. With today's equipment, you'd probably have no problem getting your avg over 200 in a short time.

Was that a blue Hammer? The blue ones were like the greatest ball ever made for a long time. I wanted one but never pulled the trigger on getting one. I had a red pearl Hammer that was a good ball for a while. A friend of mine found a black Hammer in a garbage can and was letting his dog play with it - he gave it to me and I used it as a spare ball up until this year, lol.

Just posting to subscribe to an obvioulsy epic log. I can't seem to go more than a couple of weeks without getting injured, so looking forward to checking through all the mobility/rehab stuff you've picked out. I think I have it sorted now, but any tips for plantar fasciitis?

lol, I've dealt with PF for years. Yes, I've tried everything and have made some long posts about what works best. For starters, roll your calves and the bottoms of your feet at least daily.

For way more info, search this forum for my PF posts. Please post a link in this thread if you find one of the long ones. I'll look for it later if you cant find it.

I had it once. A pretty bad case (I think). I did everything "they" told me to do. Which is probably not all that would be suggested here. Anyways, it never got better. Then, one day I woke up and it was gone. Just gone. There was never this gradually get better thing you would expect for most injuries. It went from really bad to nonexistant overnight.

Thanks, will do.

I'm suspecting that the culprit in my case could be a trigger point at the bottom of my soleus. I felt it when doing a stretch, then when I pressed on it, it was obv a trigger point. I googled it and there were a few sites that suggested that that it could be linked to heel pain, so I'm working that as well as doing a ton of stretching, rolling and strengthening exercies, as well as walking everywhere in minimalist running shoes to try and strengthen things up. It's only pretty mild tbh, but I'm just mega cautious with stuff like this cos if I don't sort it out it could wreck the end of my running for a long time - it's just difficult to know how cautious to be. Anyway, I'll have a good search for stuff you've written and link back with anything worthwhile.

Edit: This is the post you always seem to refer back to - http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...ostcount=14594

Those Tacco inserts would probably help more than you realize.

Using tape on the bottom of your foot the way describe in the link in that other post helps more than you think it would too. Doing that allowed me to walk on a treadmill at a time when doing walking of any kind was very painful.

A friend of mine had a similar experience.

Mine has gone from very bad to gradually going away all the way, but it always comes back for me. I have to be diligent about rolling my calves and my chiropractor does ART on them semi frequently too.
