Last night I had 9 in a row in my 2nd game after opening the 2nd frame. All my shots all night were in the pocket. I went a hair heavy a couple times, a little light a couple times, and did not get good lift a few times. Other than that, most of the time, all 10 pins were going in the pit.
Getting a 300 is on my list of things I'd love to do someday. An 800 would be even better imo. It could happen this year.

Curls - no. See this:

As far as shoulder strength related to bowling, I have plenty. More strength to increase ball speed, if I needed that, would be good, but I typically throw the ball ~17 - 18 mph and can get it > 20 if I need to (I basically never need to). One of the strikes I threw last night went ~21.5 mph - I didnt mean to throw it so fast, but it worked
Some guys on another team, most of whom avg ~210, call me "steroid ball" sometimes. I throw it harder than most of the other good bowlers in our league.
The biggest thing as far as that goes is doing SMR stuff before bowling so that my arm can swing freely with good follow through. I typically spend 30 - 60 minutes or so doing SMR stuff before I bowl.
I think strong legs & back are most important for bowling. Continuing to do squats, DLs, RDLs & stuff like that is definitely helping my base to be more solid & stable - that helps a lot. I could/maybe should do more lunges. I do walking spidermans as part of my mobility warmups before every workout, so I guess that qualifies, but I havent been doing much loaded single leg stuff lately.
