Okay I'll stop powering. I normally dont. I think in my previous vid I wasn't powering my cleans even tho it was 60kg. idk, I was just dead that day so I powered them bc lazy etc. I'll stop tho.

**** u. I love geometric patterns like that, especially those that fade/change. I've always wanted one but recently went on a date w/ a girl who had one that I loved. Here's hers:

WRT to cleans, even though you "can" catch them low, that doesn't mean you should power to save energy. You can always use practice catching lower, dropping under faster, and smoothing out the transition for when the weights get heavier and suddenly these are no longer optional.
okay will do

I mean, in all seriousness, there's only one choice: you have to get the graph on your dick. Then you can kill two birds with one stone when you're reeling them in with your humor and whatnot.

Don't listen to others for tattoo advice, is doesn't make sense. If you're getting it while hoping to get approval from others, you're doing it wrong. But I'm sure you knew this and just wanted to talk about it a bit with your lifter forum friends.

Just find whatever you like and get it done, if you feel that's what you want to do. Even if that means drawing a cock on your forearm.

Yeah, definitely not here for approval. I was just talking it out amongst e-friends. Also, I have fairly hairy arms so I'm kind of curious how that will impact whatever pattern I get. Probably a lot :[

Afternoon sesh

globo, lbs

FS:

245x5
255x5
260x5
265x5x3 Not too hard!

Then did some pullups and dips supersetted

Evening sesh

barbell club, kgs

snatch triples
50x5
50-60kg for 10 sets. I only worked up to 55 because that was hard enough for me to do well. I really am trying not to power them anymore.

Here's a vid of some sets. Unfortunately my very best set was at 55kg and I didn't get it recorded.

A lot of people with sleeves shave their arms. I didn't in the beginning and then ran into my tattoo artist and she said it looked ridiculous with hair and that I should start shaving it. Also I have a girl face on my arm so when I don't shave it it looks like she has a moustache.

I feel like your snatches definitely improved overall, but yeah catching them high and not reaching full extension in your hips when you explode. Newsflash. I have the same (only they look way worse)

you are looping the bar badly. gotta keep it close to your body and straight bar path. think about doing a high pull or upright row with your elbows and dont bang it so hard if you cant control it from going forward.

Hmmmm. I hadn't considered that I may have to shave all the time. Do you have any with/without shaving pics?

Yeah, I am. Good call. And I had ONE good set in the mix where I definitely reduced the loop a lot. My coach was right in front of me and giving me reminder cues "elbows high. pull yourself under the bar. punch [and lockout]" before each rep and it helped a lot. They felt SO easy on that set. I was already so tired but those cues made the reps a lot easier and I humped the bar a LOT less. More extension to get the weight up. Felt great. Really wish I had it on vidya, but I'll get more eventually.

thanks on fronts. It feels great to make improvements like this bc I remember when 245x5x5 was rough. It doesn't feel like that long ago. Now I'm doing 265 and it's easier than 245 was back then. I even got a sweet bro nod from this aesthetic af BBing guy at the gym who actually squats w/ good form. He was impressed. Feels goodman. Still though. The black guy in dark red in my recent video is a 77 and he front squatted 140x3x10 the other day. Insane. And my coach, who is a 77 also, did 150x3x10!

I was too busy trolling to notice that front squat; JFC

Makes my session yesterday feel even more EV-like than it actually was. To what do you attribute the increase in your FS? Just more overall volume?

Really just volume. My coach saw me HBBS 425 and barely hit a 325 FS and fail at 330. 325/415 = 76% and he's trying to get that up closer to 80-90, where it "should be" for WLers. So I've been doing only FSs for a while now and no surprise, my FS is going up! A lot of it is probably developing slightly better front rack position, core strength, and some quad strength? I really don't know. Probably some combo of that.

Maybe you just need compression pants. That might fix all your problems.

Looking at that red shirt guy's pants, it's clear that he's good at his lifts.

9/16:

Spend a loooong time before working out just mobilizing. Maybe an hour? More? Lots of stretches at my apartment and then again at the gym. Good stuff. Felt better going into my workout.

10 sets of {4 clean pulls at 205 + 10 good mornings @ 135 + abs}

Took me about 40 minutes to get through it. Pretty taxing, but I like how the good mornings get easier as it goes on. They're almost like a weighted stretch for me so that's probably why.

Afterwards did some more shoulder stuff

Noon sesh:

globo, lbs

FS:

245x5
250x5
255x5x4
260x5

Ugh, tired. These were harder today. Legs are a little beat.

5 sets of {Front Rack Overload (@365lbs) + weighted planks (1min @ 25lbs)}

Got through the planks finally! Hard af. FROs are nbd.

Evening sesh:

barbell club, kgs

Find max jerk from rack

Couldn't lock out 85 a few times. Finally got it. wasn't thrilled. Couldn't lock out 90 a few times either and the finally got a decent rep so I counted it. Pathetic lol.

Jerk triples from rack @ 60-70% of max

10x60

First few sets weren't good. Not happy. My coach made a comment about where I'm trying to catch the weight and it changed everything. I normally hold the weight in my fingertips, and as I drive during the jerk I turn my wrists over so that my hand is in line with my forearm. He said I need to leave my hand perpendicular to my forearm, and then proceeded to explain it a bunch. It made a lot of sense. The next set I started with the weight more in the palm of my hand than in my fingertips, and I focused on catching the weight with my hand perpendicular. Holy ****. It was SO easy. Breakthrough, potentially! I'm really pumped.

Mostly did a lot of mobility work today. Saw this video on shoulder mobbing:

And did the barbell part for a while at the gym before lifting. Wow, instantly helped with the internal rotation. Definitely had a lot of gunk in that pec minor area and hopefully worked some of it out. I need to try and do this as much as possible.

Literally every test he talks about in the video is something that resonated with me. Perfect.gif

Anyway, after I benched. 205x5x6 or something. Was pretty good. Then some curls. k
