Wed 11/10

Wedweight- 323.0

1PM wakeup

3PM Subway 6" roasted chicken breast double meat w pickles and banana peppers

4PM gym- Began starting strength as it says to in the book. Starting with bar working on form and jumping up the weight until the next jump will make form suffer

Squats(sets of 5) 45,75,105,135,155, 155, 155- I was amazed at how low I could get by focusing on keeping my knees out on the way out. Had to be 90% of the way down at worst.

Press- 45 55 65 75 85 85 85- for some reason 85 seemed much harder than 75 and I guess I got a little tired and didnt finish last rep. Also noticed I did these incorrectly after watching Starting Strength DVD. I didn't get under the bar and shrug up at the end

DL- 135 165- I prob could have done more weight but I was just so tired by this point and Ive never really been satisfied with my deadlift form. Unlike the squat I learned this one incorrectly, or at least the starting position, so its a little awkward for now and getting used to it

7PM- 2 chicken breasts with broccoli, 1 cup brown rice and teryaki sauce- this was a great meal

7:30PM-3:15AM poker

3:30AM- 24 oz cottage cheese

4-6AM- 12 oz whisky...I got a little out of hand here. but at least I didnt have any greasy food with

Thurs weight- 321.2

Perhaps minus the whisky, this is an A+ day. Nice work. The SS stuff won't be easy, but stick with it and you'll be glad you did.

Meh- as a former 330+er, for the first couple of weeks there's a good chance of almost daily progress, and it can be really motivating to see positive results every day. After that it can be counter-productive because of the variance involved, but I think it's fine for now.

List of goals along the way I want to accomplish:

No Big and Tall Store/comfortably wear 42" jeans(310?)

break 300 for a nicer looking scale number

3 sets of 5 bodyweight squat(275?)

join men's rugby team(250)

<20% body fat(215?)

once I hit the last one I'd be done with massive weight loss as a goal and just be normal again. I may be able to get it done by 2012 the deficit doesnt seem too bad at the moment

You're on roughly 1800 cals/day, correct? Seems like a pretty large deficit...how have you been feeling so far?

I'm getting used to eating when hungry instead of eating when not full, and I've discovered a lot of good low calorie options so I'm almost never hungry except occasionally when I cant sleep then sometimes I'm too tired to make/go get food so I just sleep hungry

This is such a huge step and a real difference between us fatties and the kids who can fit in normal clothes. Just be careful to not go too low with those calories and/or have a cheat day occasionally.

after my workouts I usually have 3 hard boiled eggs, but only eat
one yolk (to keep it mmmm) besides out of the 75 cals/egg
whites = 15, yolk = 60. You don't need the cholestorol.
