You should adapt to the volume, though, especially if you increase food and sleep. Plus, the first few weeks are the highest volume of the entire block, so if work capacity is at all a problem, it's going to feel a bit harder than it "should" if you're used to higher intensity/lower rep work.
my recovery is pretty good usually. prob average 8 hours of sleep a night. food won't be a problem. I read this secret trick in N1's thread where if you eat a ton of calories and lift hard, you get stronger. not a genetic freak like him, but will give it a try
