You should adapt to the volume, though, especially if you increase food and sleep. Plus, the first few weeks are the highest volume of the entire block, so if work capacity is at all a problem, it's going to feel a bit harder than it "should" if you're used to higher intensity/lower rep work.
my recovery is pretty good usually. prob average 8 hours of sleep a night. food won't be a problem. I read this secret trick in N1's thread where if you eat a ton of calories and lift hard, you get stronger. not a genetic freak like him, but will give it a try

Was supposed to get two days off before starting week 2 but it’s becone difficult to lift tuesdays with my schedule so I’m getting on a Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday schedule. Ended up being a decent workot despite the short rest.

Bench: x1@8, x4 @9, 5% drop
275x1
225x4

Larsen press: x3 @9, drop 5%
185x3
205x3

First time doing these, they went better than expected. Started super setting facepulls and light rows between bench sets for shoulder health, but they still felt like ass by the time I was done pressing.

might have to take off an extra day or two. got the first migraine of my life today. was taking a quiz online when my vision got really blurry. about 30 min later had the worst headache of my life followed by nausea. it lasted about 3-4 hours. looking at causes/symptoms, nothing has changed for me wrt to diet, sleep or other factors mentioned. I did read that strenuous exercise in hot and humid conditions can cause exercise induced migraines. That is the one thing that has changed over the last week and I noted previously in my log. The gym has been unusally hot. The main room with the machines, cables, DBs has been normal, but the little powerlifting room has been 20 degrees hotter and felt like a sauna. And on this routine my entire workout is done in that room since its all BB training. I may workout at another gym til it gets cooler out and I have talked to the manager about figuring out why that room is so hot.

talked to the gym manager today and found out there have been multiple complaints about the heat in that room. we go in there and open up the door to the heating room and there's a switchboard with all these flashing lights for issues that need to be addressed. things like "air supply" and "air ventilation". and now we know why I felt like I was working out in a sauna the past few days and got a ****ing migraine. pisses me off so bad

Since my schedule got thrown off from the migraine I combined days 3 and 4 this week and picked two exercises from each day. did bench, SS bench, squat and chin-ups. didn't do deficit DL for CNS/headache reasons and overhead press since I have been having shoulder issues. will take off the next two days and get back regular schedule on sunday as long as I have no headaches the next two days.
