lol @ Fagfit and the 56 inch Box Jump "World Record"

I'm going to start calling my PRs "World Records" since I have no actual evidence that anyone else has lifted more and/or is drug free. If they want the "World Record" they must fill out the appropriate forms.

Tried to find KPCs log but I suck at the internet so ill just post this here:

I am currently doing kettlebell training as part of a GPP/cardio/HIIT/recovery day. My goals wrt kettlebells are:
- develop good technique
- get strong
- look strong (90s)
- increased work capacity/ dont get winded after two minutes of work.

I currently do three rounds of several different kettlebell exercises one after the other without dropping the KB, with a few minutes' rest in between sets.

My question is this: What it the best way to progress?
- increase weight
- decrease rest
- increase reps
- increase number of rounds
- something else

thanks in advance for any help!

I'm going to make a prediction, make note:

I foresee that in the next 1-3 years there will be a huge rise in the popularity of pre-bottled protein shakes. They won't get as popular as energy drinks, but they will enjoy success and after they have peaked in popularity, they will continue to remain as an every staple of many people.

The flavors and taste will improve, and more options will be available. There will be a variety of ones available, from ones to help promote weight loss, to those that encourage gaining.

They will be at just a bout every gas station/convenience store, super market, and beverage emporium. Big distributers like Red Bull, Monster, Coke, and the like will watch the market and seize the opportunity to capitalize on the market. These corporate giants will quickly fall inline and be the most successful and well marketed products, as well as being the most widely available.

Set your watch and warrant it.

I've heard from people that work in the industry to expect a rise in protein prices because Coke/Pepsi have been buying up a bunch wholesale for a to-be-released pre-bottled protein drink, so I would say it's a decent prediction.

I noticed that my contact lens solution says that's it is very good at removing proteins from my lenses while they soak.

How much protein am I losing through my eyes and why is it accumulating on my contact lenses?

Well I guess it's nt matter. Now I just suck on them for a while after I take them out to regain all that lost protein that tried to escape.

Start drinking early today johnny?

The cornea is made of proteins like albumin and crystallins. They, like any other protein in the body, have a turnover rate. The old stuff that's sloughed off has to go somewhere, and that's usually through your tears, but proteins in solution tend to like to stick to stuff like plastics and glass.

Using this logic you should probably reclaim your feces, as it is ~50% bacteria, which are mostly protein.

The USAW/CF meet is indeed the WL total + total number of reps in the metcon... so (1) 55kg clean = 1 double under = 1 kipping pullup = 1 kg on your total (lol?).

I went from probably not doing that BS to definitely not doing that BS.
08-04-2010 , 03:54 PM
That's a shame, sounded like they had actually set it to something reasonable for a while there.
08-04-2010 , 04:09 PM
Yeah, for those who didn't catch it when 7ontheline posted it, someone from USAW told someone at our gym that it would be 5 points on the total for each round of 55kg Squat clean, 6 reps, 12 Pull-ups and 24 Double-unders. As it is it's 42 points per round... so someone with a totally mediorce/****ty WL total will win. But they will be awesome at the really useful skills of... double unders and kipping pullups. Yawn.

If it came from a cf workout, more than likely it is jump-rope when you spin the rope twice for one jump...
