I had another very Reggie Evans-esque series of games on the court today. Something like 15 boards, 3 points. Reggie Evans had a 20 board, 4 point game recently so I like the nickname, it's fitting.

I think my nickname should be Windex, tho. Because I clean up the glass.

But seriously if I played in a different setting where I got free throws when I got fouled I would be going to the line like every 3rd possession.

As implausible as it sounds that anyone would be in Canada on business, it seems even more implausible that someone would be in Canada on pleasure.

The other day I got a piece of mail addressed to my last ex-girlfriend. Last time I saw her was like 12 years ago. We get one of these every few years, usually a credit card offer.

So this prompted me to google her and see what I could find. Nothing, literally nothing at all personal. All the top searches are to professional presences (she's a doctor, they're mostly doctor review sites). No pictures, no facebook, no myspace, no tumblr, twitter, blogs, whatever. No newspaper articles or anything like that. I tried lots of different tactics and just could not find a thing. I think maybe I found one of her sisters but I'm not sure, I barely remember what they look like.

I don't think I've ever run across someone with just no web footprint at all. Oh I did find a lawsuit she was involved in though.

Does whey go bad?

If not, I'd just get both...
thanks for the heads up. I bought both to try. Usually the containers have like 12-24 months to expire.

So I can do these and not break my neck?

Damn,

2+2 really doesn't like Thremp. No trace of his posts in the beginner thread a few days back. It's like he never even existed.

Got the comparison to kevin love for the second time a few nights ago. SICK BRAG It was from an aussie who kept calling me Kevin love and making jokes about it all night, decent jokes for a wasted aussie... When I looked bored it was because I was injured, I was gonna get a rebound when one of the dudes missed w the chicks we were with etc

I'm a bad bulker. I just get sick of always being full and I feel bloated all the time. So, I have decided that now begins my cut. I'm starting at 211 -- heaviest I've been since I was ~30%bf in 2005.

General cutting questions since I've never really cut seriously.

I've only done caloric cutting before (didn't pay attn to c/p/f) but I know more now and I should clearly try and maintain muscle so I'll need a lot of brotein. What about fat? Keep the fat up around 20-35% of calories or decrease the fat?

Skim milk with shakes or just water?

I'm 6'2" 211, and ~16-17%bf. Lift 5x/week. Looks like my maintenance calories are like 3300-3500 so I should probably try and target like 2700-3000 calories/day. Sound reasonable?
04-12-2013 , 08:40 AM
25% deficit is good. You don't need more fat than that. Milk with shakes is fine as long as it fits your caloric/macro goals. Lifting 5/week will probably be too much, depending on what you do. If it's 5 full days it sounds a tad excessive unless you have deload weeks.

A tamer version of these were a standard part of the warm-up when I used to train MMA. You can get used to it by taking some of the weight on your hands.

On average it's like 2.5 heavy days that feature ss stuff, and then 2.5 lighter days where it's like bis/tris/abs/pullups/dips

But yeah, it may be too much due to not having as much fuel in my system. Hopefully I can maintain my lifts. I just recently got to a 3 plate squat and 2 plate bench. Dipping below those would make me sad.
04-12-2013 , 08:59 AM
Fat minimum suggestions seem to range from a third to a half grams per pound of LBM. So, at least 60 for you, I guess. You need 200 or so grams of protein. Even at your 2700 minimum, you've got plenty of slop to work with, should be easy.

I'm interested to see how lifting 5x/week goes for you. I'm in a similar spot, and I decided to cut my heavy squats and upper body to twice a week, and heavy deadlifts to once a week. Don't really have strong evidence for this, just some general "you need more recovery time when on a deficit".

A lot of people here do intermittent fasting (leangains.com). Evidence is far from conclusive that it's better than other methods at results, but it is conclusive that it's more convenient to cook 1 fewer meal every day.

Gratz on feeling physiologically like crap on a bulk. A truly reformed fatty! That's awesome.
