Yeah people say carbide for W carbide. Alloys with tungsten are a little more
wear edit:impact resistant. I still wouldn't make a ring out of it. A weight and/or murder weapon, definitely. What have you made out of W alloy?
Agreed, I would never polish my ring imo and especially not my watch. I also like that it looks worn/used/whatever. It adds character. I don't think people generally understand that polish = material removal too.
