Haha, yeah. I guess it should read "Deadlift Week, Day 3", squats as recovery from DE and ME deads earlier in the week.

You and me both!!
Since the start of the year, my bench has only moved from 165x5x3 (and only from 150x5x3 since the middle of last year) to the recent 192.5x3. This seems very little to me. I do not know in what proportions to blame the program or my application. I have just found bench progress very hard to come by. If i hope to do this meet, I will have to make more of a concerted focus on bench over the next few months.
I think my technique is fine, if not 100% consistent yet. But it is consistent enough for me to make small changes to things like foot positioning etc and assess whether that made things better or worse.
I did start very weak in the upper lifts after never working out previously. However, plenty of people make much better progress than I did on SS starting from similar positions. I have also neglected back work far too much over the last few months.
I enjoyed the "Stop Bitching and Start Benching" series on C&P, makes it pretty clear how often and heavy the great bencher's bench, and how much accessory work they do. I just need to be a bit more of a mad scientist, do some research and experiment.
