Nice dl bro! I think the squat was fine, too. I mean, looks like all pl squats to me, I defer to the freeze frame PL heroes though. Nice job and keep up the good work.

October 3rd: Week 1 Day 2 (GS)

Deadlift:
162.5x5x4

Pause Squat:
120x5x4

Ive been on a short holiday this week, and off to a soccer tournament today, but in town long enough to do deadlift. Missed bench press, which is a shame, probably should have done it today but ran out of time.

4 sets of 5 for pause squats is so awful. Especially after deadlifts.

Yeah, I don't know if I'd get through it all if there werent other people suffering through it together. I'd mail it in.

Also, I had the sickest adductor DOMS this week after mondays workout. Knees out cued maybe more, but cant really think of a reason. It was legitimately difficult to sit and take a **** on tuesday.

6th October: Week 2 Day 1 (GS)

Squat:
160x4
165x4x3

Trap Bar DL:
+100x4x4

Bench Press:
85x5x4

DB Incline Bench:
3x8

Bicep Curls:
3x12

Squats felt really good, so i did an extra 5kg. Good descent speed and attack out of the hole, which is nice for a change. Caught up on last weeks missed bench press session a little bit too. Not bad after a weekend of late nights, drinking and standing in the rain.

7th October: Run

"Ran" a laughable 3.72km in 27 minutes (time incl a short stretch near the start). Felt terrible too, had to walk one section, tightness in low back/glutes, just awful conditioning. Three and a half weeks to start of summer football.

8th October: Week 2 Day 2 (GS)

Bench Press:
92.5x4x4

DB Bench:
32.5sx6x4

Log Clean and Jerks:
up to 80x1

DB Flies:
4x10

Cable Row:

4x10

Bench press was pretty good, maybe losing a bit of tightness at the bottom on some reps but definitely improving. Log clean and press/jerk was fun. Found some PL USA magazines from the late 90's in the gym so bought some home to read, I'll post anything interesting.

9th October: Run

3.72km in 25:10. Same route as last time, slightly less painful. Still get a super tight left glute, and my mechanics are pretty **** I think. Probably head on over to Nick's log for some tips.

bro, what the f*ck are you doing? I have scientifically proven over the last ~2 months that running even just once a week will take ~7% off your squat 1rm.

Chest Supported Row:

Bicep Curl:

Tough day, hands are pretty beat up. Had to mixed grip the last three reps of the last set and all of the deficits. Weight itself was not too bad, getting better about psyching myself into heavy sets.

Sprints though - better prep for sport than slow runs. 40, 100, 200, 400s. Plus less likely to kill the gains.

Thanks, you too I think we've both done pretty well recovering, all things considered.

I plan to work towards sprinting pretty quickly, but I am in shocking condition and thought a few light jogs to remember what running is would be prudent.
