Given how long it had been since I had squatted, this was always going to go badly. Bench felt alright, and progressed on pullups again. Just got to get into a groove again.

Oops. Got sick for the first time in a while and it laid me quite low inconveniently right at the busiest time at work. Deadlifts felt quite heavy given it was nearly two weeks since last session. Everything else similarly sucked.

Sleep is really ****ty at the moment. Stress levels just too damn high.

Enjoying Scroobius Pip at the moment though.

Might as well make a home brew log too. I have a feijoa wine in secondary fermentation at the moment, but that is a long term project. In the other fermenter is a porter. Should be ready to bottle this week but it's been a bit colder than usual here so may take longer than that. Tossing up some sort of strong ale for my next batch. Wheat beer I made first up is pretty drinkable.

Nice little milestone on pullups, added a rep on squats over last week but still quite tough mentally. Getting into the rhythm of this new pattern, so feeling a little more positive about making some progress.

First triple bodyweight pull - weighed in at 79.8 today. 100x8x3 was a small milestone too, so overall can't really complain. I sleep about as well as thremp makes e-friends, work too much, small amounts of family stress etc etc Still gonna make it.

Life is good, WIM.

ETA: we've got several lifters at IPF Raw Worlds. Jak Tan himself (74jr), our venerable leader John Strachan (74o) and another OG Carli all repping the black and white.

Nothing more complicated than I was lifting between sessions on the comp platform. Did bench press after we had finished taking all the lifters rack heights and then set up for squats. Opening squat was 40kg so I did three sets of press and the chins while waiting

Glad to see you lifting again. You'll be back in good shape and beyond in no time. Just think about the hard yet consistent and relatively fast progress you made after your foot injury.

+1. The only thing that I think could even possibly derail our kiwi golden cha would be having a kid. And he'd still be a favorite to beast through that, but maybe not a lock.

yeah just got to keep the momentum up. Football coaching ends soon so that will free up some time too.
