Looks good and has made great aesthetic progress. We also say that every set of pics, but that's because it's always true. Can't wait to see the next six month update when you show off pecs that PRd 315 bench
HS is correct. I asked for a title change off something like "Aidan's Lift-Run-Bang Log" to "Aidan's Lifting Log" after I hadnt been doing Paul Carter's programing for a while. anklebreaker left in the (just Lifting and Banging) part, which i believe was a head nod to the fact that i couldnt run anywhere with a torn achilles tendon. I like to think i've earned it now, though!
Went well, 10 reps at two wheels feels pretty good. Did the bull bar squats the wrong way around, which made it a lot tougher on the abs (unintentionally good). Skipped back work because I went and did some back work last night while the missus lifted, hopefully she gets back into a routine after being super busy for a while.
No, she pretty adamantly doesnt want to compete, to the extent that before we went last night she wanted to make sure not everyone who lifts at GS competes so she wouldnt be the only non-competer. If she strings a few weeks together i'll sign her up for a novice comp though. Only $25 if she really doesnt want to do it. I think having a goal would be good, but she's playing soccer at the moment so that takes up a bit of energy too.
Wow, I remember reading this log in 2013-2014ish when your 1RM was around 100kg and now you're banging out sets of 10. Really awesome progress. Just goes to show that hard work (and GOAT genetics obv) can help you climb IEL Mountain.
Pow, bench press and deadlift have come a long way over the last year. Squat has improved too, but not as rapidly. Doing more and doing it consistently helps, who'd have thunk.
So repeated my #squats4science today, did a little better than last time. Was supposed to deadlift, but will switch that to tomorrow with slanger bench press.
Bench looks pretty solid, but here are a couple nit picky things:
- On the liftoff, your shoulders come out slightly. You fix this before you start bring the bar down, but its better & safer if you stay locked in while you're getting the handoff.
whats worse, squatting without a belt or without a shirt?

Both of these are lat looseness issues.
Other than that, it looks pretty good to me.
Thanks for the input. I think I did a bit better at both of these in the later sets, but both are still quite common when I am not switched on and concentrating properly. Mental breakdowns.

yeah, there's a lot to remember and practice when you bench. I rarely get it all right.
