Day #12

Weight: 231.0
Change: 2.2
Overall Change: -11.4
Calories in: 3000
Exercise: Baseball 12:30-3:30
Water in take: Short

Meal 1: PEPPERONI PIZZA!!!
Meal 2: Twisted tea and fireball shots

YAY 10lbs lost! After yesterday being stagnant, it was nice to see the loss of 2+lbs to reach 11+lbs lost. I said before that whenever I lost an interval of 10lbs I would give myself a little treat, so instead of having a cheat meal today and tomorrow, I decided to get myself a large Pizza and housed 6 of 8 pieces and will eat healthy again tomorrow. Went to a game night at my friends house later on and had a couple drinks, mostly because I was pressured by an attractive lady friend, but also in minor celebration of my 10lbs.

Baseball team lost today 1-0 in the first round of playoffs. We play again tomorrow, and if we lose, our season is over . This will be the first time in my career of 14 years or so playing on this team that we had a losing record in the regular season and were bounced from the first round of the playoffs. Honestly, I wont even be upset that much if we lose tomorrow. I am so exhausted of this season and playing baseball in general.

Not looking forward to tomorrow's weigh in lol. I ate so many carbs today and had alcohol. I am fairly certain I am still at a deficit for the day, but I am going to be carrying so much water weight. I think this 231 is going to be the weight when it starts getting a lot more difficult. I won't be seeing the steep losses I have been and will be grinding out from now on.

Anyway, day 12 done! 10+lbs lost!

Day #13

Weight: 231.8
Change: +.08
Overall Change: -10.6
Calories in: 1448
Exercise: Baseball 1:00-4:00
Water in take: Complete

Meal 1: 4 Eggs and some Milk
Meal 2: Sirloin Steak and Green Beans

After all the pizza and crap I had yesterday, I only gained .8lbs. I am quite pleasantly surprised and pleased. We won our baseball game today, which means we forced a game 3 on Tuesday. Went 2-3 with a single, double, hbp, RBI and a run scored.

I had planned on starting my gym routine tomorrow, but with having to play Tuesday, I will probably just go and do some cardio because I may have to pitch and don't want to deal with that beginning workout soreness . At least that is the plan, maybe I will just go for a long walk around my house, we will see how I feel once tomorrow morning rolls around.

Anyway, day 13, donezo

Day #15

Weight: 231.2
Change: -0.6
Overall Change: -11.2
Calories in: 1520
Exercise: Baseball Game 4:45-7:45
Water in take: Complete

Meal 1: Pork, Green Beans
Meal 2: 10oz of Chicken Breast, Green Beans
Extra: Gatorade, Handful of peanuts

Still stuck at 231ish, knew I couldn't continue to lose at this breakneck speed, but it's still annoying. lol Was really hoping to be in the 220s again for the first time in over 3 years, ill get there shortly. Lost our baseball game today , which means the season is over till a final tourney over labor day weekend. Then completely done. I showed up to the field today and was surprising told I was starting on the mound. I threw very well, I gave up 1 earned run through 5, with 3 K's and 3 walks, and only 2 hits. Sadly I also gave up 2 unearned runs. In fact the earned run was given up after I was pulled. The pitcher who replaced me then proceeded to not get out an out and give up 4 runs leading to us being down 6-0.

Despite losing and our season being done, I am quite happy with how I threw. The team we faced had scored the second most in the league behind mine and I haven't been a pitcher in 7 years. I tore my rotatory cuff and labrum, got surgery and this year is the first time since that I have stepped back onto the mound. It took all season before my shoulder could throw 80 pitches in a game.

Well I no longer will have my 9 hours of built in cardio a week. Going to have to make sure I get to the gym.

Day 15 complete, here's to hoping we break into the 220's shortly.

Day #1

Weight: 233
Change: +1.8
Overall Change: -9.4
Calories in: 1660
Exercise: Nada
Water in take: Short

Meal 1: 5oz chicken, 5oz pork, Greens Beans and Broccoli
Meal 2: Same as meal 1
Snack: Handful of Almonds

Im guessing I am retaining water because of my high sodium intake and my lack of meeting the 1 gallon a day goal. I am very particular about weighing and logging everything I eat, so that is what I am assuming is the cause of my slight weight gain. It's always annoying to see your weight go up at all when you are trying to lose weight, especially when you are on a time limit. I took the day off after being still sore and exhausted from the game the night before. Pitching and hitting for yourself really takes the energy out of you. Had I not predicted my weight would stagnate around the 231 mark, I would be even more irritated. Oh well.

Day 16 log done. I really need to get into a routine of going to the gym now.

You've lost nearly 10 pounds in sixteen days, I wouldn't be too concerned. After 90 days I would say you'll probably end around 205/215.

Keep up the good work

Didn't post in 2 days, but I am still keeping careful track via myfitnesspal. I honestly find myself making excuses not to post when my weight continues to stagnate. I almost feel bad that it has gone up, even though I know it is just water weight fluctuation. It doesn't help that I haven't pooped in like 4 days. lol Guess I need to work more fiber into my diet.

Anyway, Day 17 and 18 done. here is hoping we can break into the 220's this week

fwiw i'm on day 21 in my personal thing and i didn't make a ton of progress week 3. started 158 and insta lost 6 first two weeks. more or less broke even week 3. i presume a lot of the initial loss was water weight and now i'm letting the rest catch up. after week 4 i get my next bodyfat scan. im hoping for 2 pounds a week, idk how you expect to pace yours but you are definitely on pace so far.

re: fiber, i'd integrate black beans into diet if possible. sub em for the green beans and keep the broccoli. you add some protein and slow carbs and fiber. obv gotta tweak the calories as u see fit.

Calories in: 3300ish
Exercise: Nada
Water in take: Complete

Meal 1: 10oz pork, Vegetable Medly
Meal 2: MDonalds!!!!!!

Yay, 220's! I may have gone a little overboard in my cheat meal. I would have been completely satisfied with a burger and fries, buuuuuuuuuut I got a milk shake and nuggets as well and it just felt wrong to not eat them all. I still fall in to my eating habits I had back in college, I could house the food I ate tonight with ease. Then again I was playing baseball and working out nonstop and had to eat crazy amounts of food. I actually felt guilty I went so overboard tonight, but oh well. This is the only day in the past 19 days that I haven't been in a deficit. I'm pretty sure anyway.

12.6 lbs in 19 days is pretty good. I know a ton of it is water weight, but I believe I can see some differences in my face/body anyway. Maybe its just wishful thinking.

Day 19 done, had our cheat meal for the week, so back on it tomorrow.

So, I decided I am going to be weighing myself every Friday morning instead of every day. I will also weigh myself every 1st and 15th of each month, but Friday's will be my normal weigh in days. I find it messes with my desire to post in this blog and my mood in general when I see the I gained weight. I know it is only water weight fluctuation, but still, it annoys me. So yeah, no more daily weigh ins. I still plan on posting a daily update of Calories in etc.

Day #20

Calories in: 1800
Exercise: Nada
Water in take: Short

Meal 1: Two Hotdogs and a Bun, Turkey and cheese sandwhich
Meal 2: Chicken and Bacon Salad from Sheetz

Was at a 6 year old's birthday party and made the mistake of not eating before, so I settled for 2 hot dogs and a small turkey sandwhich. I actually swung by Sheetz on my way to my buddies place to watch GOT and had decided to get more ****ty food, even though I had my massive cheat meal the night before. I had a buffalo chicken sub with french fries on it, along with an order of mozz sticks and marinara sauce all ready to order. BUT I X'd out of it and went with a salad instead. Granted the salad itself wasn't the most healthy thing ever, but it still kept me well below on calories for the day. So yay me? lol

Day #21

Calories in: 1500
Exercise: Resistance Training/30 mins on Elliptical
Water in take: Complete

Meal 1: 3 Eggs, 4 pieces of Bacon, Cheese, Milk
Meal 2: 10oz Chicken breast, 2 Ears of Corn, Vegetable Medly

Started at the gym today. I decided to start with some full body resistance workouts. With quite light weight. I have a tournament over Labor Day weekend and want to ease my way into it so I don't get too sore, etc. Felt good to be back at the gym and hopefully I can make it a routine going forward.

Day #22

Calories in: 2060
Exercise: 30 mins on Elliptical
Water in take: probably short, but close

Meal 1: Friendly's for lunch with my grandma
Meal 2: Made sort of like a tuna cake. Tuna, coconut flour, egg, little mustard.

I could have gotten a much healthier choice at Friendly's but they nicely have listed all the calories, so I said screw it and got some some buffalo chicken strips. Swung by the gym afterwards and spent 30 mins on the Elliptical, so still well under calories wise today.

Day #23

Calories in: 1800
Exercise: Nada
Water in take: Short

Meal 1: Spaghetti(low carb)
Meal 2: 10 oz chicken breast and roasted cauliflour
Meal 3: Made sort of like a tuna cake. Tuna, coconut flour, egg, little mustard

I saw a video where someone used those miracle noodles to make spaghetti. I was having a craving for some pasta so I went out and bought some. I wasn't expecting the world, but I was pleasantly surprised. Granted the noodles don't taste like anything. but the meat and pasta sauce taste great and the noodles are somewhat filling. They are quite expensive in comparison to regular noodles, so I doubt I will do it very often.

Day #24

Calories in: 1650
Exercise: Nada
Water in take: Complete

Meal 1: 4 Eggs, Cheese, Diced Ham, Milk
Meal 2: Spaghetti(low carb)

I am a lazy lazy person. I am doing great being at a deficit every day, but god am I lazy. Not working out, not consistently drinking enough water. I make the mistake of buying diet turkey hill iced tea and diet soda, and I would much rather drink that than water. It is good for calories, but not to so good over all. Weigh in tomorrow, so hoping for good numbers!!!! Made sure I got in my water intake today, so hopefully I drop any water weight.

Day #25

Weight: 230
Change: +.6
Overall: -12
Calories in: 1585
Exercise: Mowed the grass for 2 hours
Water in take: Short

Meal 1: 10oz chicken, Cauliflower, Broccoli and Carrots
Meal 2: Spaghetti(low carb)

Was a little disappointed my weigh in wasn't less than it was, but from last Friday to this one, I am still down 2.6lbs so there is that and down 12 for the month. I was actually hoping for more this first month, I guess I could drop a bunch this last week? lol. I have really stalled this past week, actually up .6 from Saturday's weigh in. Will be driving hard to make sure I get my water intake and get to the gym this last week before my next weigh in on Friday the 1st for my first official month done.

Day 25 done, 65 more to go.

Keep up the good work! I am pretty similar to you overall, but without the 90 day deadline. One thing that has helped me psychologically is to do a big cheat day every Saturday. That way I load up on water weight and am consistently losing weight over the week and I fast on Thursdays. Probably not perfect for you since you have a specific timeline, but just a thought.

could be an easy byproduct of weighing once every 7 days, i charted your progress. red could be the track you are on. and obv the first couple weeks you were gonna go rapid esp cuz of water weight.

like azmodanix, i do my cheat meal every saturday. sunday to friday i keep my meals pretty basic (meat, veggie, beans) and saturday is my eat whatever day.

i find the water weight fluctuations to be pretty consistent, cuz on my sunday weigh in i typically gain like 3 or so pounds. then i lose a little bit each weekday before saturday fattens me up again. but like your chart, mine is trending downward.

still recommend beans over the spaghetti, chili would be a good look. more fiber and slower carb. also recommend the daily weigh ins. better to have more knowledge even if the random up days make you sad.

keep going glglgl

Day #28
Calories in:1840

Day #29
Calories in: 1340

Day #30

Calories in: 1930
Exercise: Baseball practice for 2 hours.
Water in take: Complete

Meal 1: Sirloin Steak, Cauliflour
Meal 2: Homemade turkey chili

Decided to try and do a better job with meal prep for the week, so I made a 9 meals worth of turkey chili with kidney and black beans, along with quite a few veggies, each meal comes out to about 700 Calories. I am going to make some pulled pork as well and eat it with those carb balance tortilla shells that have a ton of fiber. Was active for the first time tonight in a while and my body could really feel the difference from being lazy lately. Its only been two weeks since my last baseball game, but I could really feel the difference in my lower back and oblique's. I could end up playing 9 baseball games this weekend over 3 days, so I wont need to worry about getting in exercise. lol

Only 61 more days to go and after Friday's weigh in, I think I will start weighing in every day again. Once a week just is too long in between, and cuts down on my desire to keep up with this blog.

I'm a fan of weighing every day. Get up, pee, weigh. Once you get used to water weight fluctuations and plateaus it shouldn't be too upsetting or surprising when it goes up or down, or even does nothing at all.

also when you chart it, like i did a few posts back, you see the fluctuations as part of an overall trend a lot easier.

and yeah, get up, pee, weigh.
