I've noticed (since I was young) that any time there are lists like that they usually start off ok but eventually are annoyingly terrible. "Why men kick ass!" or "Reason's Irish people love to drink" and various lists like that are forwarded in e-mails or mass texted around have always sucked imo.

would help if "get low to get your lumbar extended" were a cue.

he lacks in the "chest up" cue, but pretty much everyone eventually pulls without the chest up. i'm sure his lumbar is reasonable.

Re: **8*8*8 March version Two(2) ***88***8

Monday I woke up at 3pm and didn't go to sleep until Wed 3am. Pretty standard sleep routine for me because of my work schedule/weekend but I never really got tired. I had some friends over hanging out and just went to bed when they left. I had a few beers and took some caffeine but I usually get really really tired after 24 hours of being awake.

Maybe my body is just getting used to being awake for crack head hours. I like it because it makes my weekend seem longer.

I'm sure it's garbage for my recovery tho. I'm a little sore today.

Really? I certainly don't have your knowledge of shoulder/elbow mechanics but in all my 15 years of Ultimate Frisbee (lol anecdotal evidence) the backhand throw has never hurt my elbow while the forehand throw has often given me pain in my elbow. If you see pictures of the forehand in mid-throw, the forearm is torqued way back with the elbow leading the throw. Seems like this would be worse for the arm. It's kind of like a sidearm pitcher, maybe?

ive had some pretty horrible pain in my forearm/elbow due to forehand throws in discgolf as 7ontheline says but a hard backhand drive will mostly give you shoulder pain/ache in the beginning.

WMS (waxy maize starch) works well because of it's Gastric Clearance Rate due to its high molecular weight. Basically its "heavier" than dextrose or the like, and plows through the stomach faster, creating a "pull" of sorts and dragging the rest of the good stuff with it. The notion that it's about boosting insulin and storing glycogen as fast as possible is true, and high GI carbs will do that, but WMS will get to the scene first basically, and part the seas for the protein and anything else.

It's sad to see the way frisbee golf treats its former stars. Watching 50 year-olds limp around the nursing home with artificial hips and elbows makes you wonder, was the glory worth it?

Most will tell you it was.

Its NOT IPF, thus in no way related to what I do.

Though anyone could look up IPF bench nationals from Japan and see some silly stuff.

The video angle is lol bad btw.

I agree with all this. I haven't played ultimate for a while but throwing the disc never hurt my arm. I was way to terribad at throwing forehand so I never did it. It makes sense that my arm never hurt since I never threw that way.

My buddy's arm never hurts from throwing side arm, it's really tilting that mine hurts to bad. I can feel it when I'm lifting and it doesn't interfere but it is mildly painful,

Failed my attempt at that the other day pretty miserably. Went like 4,2 then 4 at 125. Looking forward to crushing it after I start eating again next week.

Re: **8*8*8 March version Two(2) ***88***8

This wasn't 3 sets of 5. I'm only doing one work set of 5 while I'm dieting. And it was a HUGE struggle to get that last rep up. It seemed to take forever and take every ounce of strength I had. I came upstairs and told my wife I did 135x5 on the press. She said "was that what all the grunting was about?" At the time, I didn't even realize I was making any noise. I'm glad I don't work out at a gym. Otherwise someone would be posting in the General Gym Observations thread about some fat 42 year old guy grunting loudly while pressing 135.

If I don't get 136.25x5 up next time, I'm going right to a reset after that. My goal isn't to break PRs while I'm dieting. It was just an ego thing to try to press 135x5.
