I have a couple of weimaraners. Trying to get them 70's big. I make them drag kettlebells.

Are those the same type of dogs that the one guy poses and has them do people things? Kinda looks like the same type.

And yes I was mildly intoxicated last night, I don't feel so good today. Fat Tire is pretty good beer, though. I'm going to get ripped consuming nothing but 1k calories worth of beer every day.

now that's how you cut imo. I'd be powerless to resist fried cheese products after five beers though

Now that the weather is getting nice I've been playing some disc golf. It's a pretty hippie/stoner thing but whatever I'm just happy to be outside. I played some last summer and it was fun but now that I'm playing this year my arm is killing me after only a few holes. I've tried to do lots of warm up and stretching but for some reason it's really painful to try and throw more than a couple holes.

I wonder what I can do so I'm not in agonizing pain after throwing a few times. KyleB?

Your arm is rather large. Where is the pain?
03-24-2010 , 05:33 PM
dog has beard lol

Why thank you. All the pain is pretty much from my elbow joint up to the shoulder, basically just feels super inflamed. I remember it feels exactly the same when I was young and would play baseball and would throw for too long and just hurt.

When I'm done playing it still hurts pretty bad for about 30 minutes but if I take some Ibuprofen it goes away pretty quickly.

i find it funny when dogs sit like that. they don't really use their hind legs at all.

The nature of throwing a frisbee is inherently damaging to the elbow (assuming a backhand release), though you're not throwing it with much velocity nor is the load all that great. The pain should theoretically go away after a few sessions as you adapt to the stress, but I can't think of a reason why you'd have shooting pain in the first place.

The typical way of throwing a frisbee doesn't give me very much pain but the side arm or 'pistol shot' way is the one that hurts. I can't throw nearly as far the regular way, the pistol shot yields far more distance. I guess I'll just have to settle for being worse than everyone and take the pussy lay ups because I can't get any real distance off the tee.

Or maybe my body will just adapt to it.

So, I have been trying to watch deadlift videos to try to fix my own form problems. Anyways, I was watching the AC powerlifting video on the 70s Big Site and it seems that in his deadlifts he does not get down very low to get into lumber extension, per SS cues, and he is standing very upright and pulling w/ round back. Am I way off base or is this a correct assesment and it is an alternate, but viable, deadlifting style.

These 70sBig Dos/Don'ts are even better than the original. "Don't:hand lotion" because cracked, bleeding hands and chafing your dick are manly.

jesus.

Do: Put on so much instant tanning lotion that your face looks photoshopped.
03-24-2010 , 08:35 PM
Do: Pull with lumbar rounding, hand wave away criticism by saying "well you try pulling X weight"

Don't: Squat to Parallel
