I had a bear burger that was super tasty. ::shrug::

Its expensive here. So no. I have little desire to pay a super premium for something that might taste like smegma.

I'm pretty sure this guy has: Fishwhenican. Here's one of his hunting threads: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/63...2008-a-309723/

When I was an exhange student in Japan my host grandmother took me to her favourite restaurant where she was well known and we got to eat all kinds of cool exotic stuff. A bear steak was one of those things and it was f*cking delicious, really tender, melt in the mouth stuff. I highly recommend killing and eating a bear MI101.

Also, cross-posting from the beginners thread:

If I were trying to rehab a shoulder injury while ALSO addressing a muscular imbalance in my back on top of SS, would my best option be to add a 4th, "rehab" workout to my weekly schedule or try to add in the rehab exercises to my existing 3 workouts per week?

Cheers in advance for any advice

i heard bear meat is tastes much better if the bear is killed with a hunting knife.

so give that a shot rambo.

Bear meat is really good in lasagne or spaghetti bolognese, sure there are a few bear lasagne recipes kicking around the internet if you look.

thanks for the link, tsearcher.

lol the last time i went hunting with my uncle, we ended up discussing the possibility of chasing down a deer and killing it with a knife. i was saying it's possible since animals are sprinters by nature. his argument was that the DNR would kill you. quite valid, imo. chasing a bear seems like a bad idea, though, and could only happen if i prefaced it with "watch this".

just try and run it over in your car or something.

toothy, i don't think once a week will be enough to correct anything in a decent time frame. i guess it depends what else you're doing.

for my hamstring rehab, i was/should be stretching 4 times a day and foam rolling twice a day. on off days, i'd sometimes do light eccentric work as well. in fact, it always felt better/stronger whenever i was consistent with off day work.

but i suck with shoulders and this is all baseless. talk to kyle.

random pic.

i'd give the bear some decent odds on walking away from a sub 55mph collision with any car that is not classified a truck. and walk away meaning it's not dead on impact.

shake that bear

I don't think people realize that hitting a deer will result in serious injury/death. Its coming straight through the windshield.

never understood what's so impressive about killing an animal with a gun. like how much skill does that take? if it was hand to hand, then i'd be very impressed. are there hand to hand hunters? i might have to find a group and join them. of course then i'd be nominated for some darwin award for trying to kill a hippo.

there are a ton of grotesque images on the web wrt deer through windshields.
03-21-2010 , 08:51 PM
Killing Roes with a gun is supposed to be ridic easy.
03-21-2010 , 08:55 PM
I've never fired a gun in my life
03-21-2010 , 09:09 PM
spenda,
don't you live in texas? wtf? btw neither have I.
03-21-2010 , 09:15 PM
yeah got to say i feel that shooting stuff with a gun is no more sport than playing COD is. killing stuff with a knife is badass though.

born and raised, but on a beach, not a ranch

most people forget/ don't know that hunting isn't the same as firing a gun in a range. people have heart attacks from seeing deer in the distance. i wouldn't even say hunting is impressive. it's just a way we used to survive as a species, and that we have now replaced with technology.

i doubt anyone's going to change their mind about hunting, but don't write it off until you try it.

edit: if you're looking for a competition, then i don't think a live-or-die situation is the best one to engage in. that is surely the mentality of the animal. the point of a gun or bow is to give an advantage over the animal so that we go home with food.

really hoping for a bear permit now, and the application process doesn't start for another 1-2 months. season starts in September i believe.

So, being the self-respecting heterosexual man that I am I waited until PPV to watch New Moon. Just saw it, and as expected was pretty meh. However, I did have the benefit of watching it with someone who has read all the books, so at least I got all the backstory the movie leaves out. Anyways, what do we all think about Taylor Lautner's body,

90's weak or acceptable? Also, do you think this physique is good genetics, product of a good workout regime/diet, or just "good lighting."

FWIW, apparently his character is supposed to keep getting bigger and buffer throughout all the books (his character is a werewolf and I guess that is what they do) so he says he is gonna keep bulking up until all the movies are done filming. So, who knows, maybe by the last movie he will even reach the magical milestone of 200 lbs.
