Yeah I feel great as well, but I also feel great after doing drugs and that's not good for me. So the muscle mass gained through relative binge eating will more than offset the fat taken into my blood in terms of life expectancy?

Basically I'm trying to justify to my gf eating a cheeseburger a day when she is eating no fat or processed foods.

Can you expand on why you think this? So do you think eating a McDouble to get you over surplus on the day increases life expectancy over not eating the McDouble?

I am 28. Have been eating pretty "healthy" for a few years now, 12 drinks a week on average. But have not been physically active for several years.

i wasnt thinking in terms of life expectancy, merely in terms of not gaining a load of fat for a pretty negligible difference in linear gains (at least in the novice lifter, obviously this does not apply for advanced power lifters).

Performance (getting stronger), body comp, and health (whether you include longevity in here or not is a separate issue) are different goals with different strategies.

The people that need to gorge themselves are the idiots who weigh 140 pounds at 5'11" and complain they don't gain any weight.

For people who are reasonably-sized (like yourself), a small surplus for 30 days is probably worth doing before you go hog-wild. And you can eat McDoubles while doing this.

homemade burger >>> McDouble. just start getting more fat in your diet.

fat intake does not lead to any sort of problem. it won't spike your cholesterol levels, it won't cause cancer, it won't (by itself) make you fat.

Yeah obviously, but McDoubles are cheap and easy. Of course I have no clue why anyone would prefer a McDouble over a $1 Double Cheeseburger from Burger King.

I say this with no hint of jealousy whatsoever: I would not want to own that car.

It seems like one of the worst possible cars at that price point/location.

ETA: I'm waiting for GBP to take a dump and going with a DBS.

Would he cry if he realized that he's half-way between Greear/I in terms of LBM? The hulking beast of a man I am and Greear, our favorite house cat sized human.

What's the deal with kyleb in a Yankee hat. Bad look in Seattle imo.

Haters gonna hate.

I'm wearing an Indians hat now if it makes you feel any better.

After all this time, house cat sized human is still one of my favorites from you.

They just posted the workouts for one of the sectionals this weekend and it would have been absolutely perfect for me (I think).

Probably means the ones I have to do will be completely the opposite and terrible.

T-minus 2 Hours until I find out how much I am going to hate myself on Sunday.

This post is pretty much wrong on every point. Fat intake will absolutely spike your cholesterol levels. Go take a cholesterol test, one on an 8 hour fast (as recommended) and another 1 hour after eating a meal at McDonalds and see in which one you have a higher cholesterol levels.

Also, it has been proven without a doubt that obesity is a very strong indicator for cancer, inflammation, high blood pressure, cardiac events, and pretty much every other chronic human condition correlating with lower life expectancy.

And the most efficient way of becoming obese is to consume excess amounts of fatty acids. Consuming excess sugars (carbohydrates) and proteins will also do the trick, but it is not as efficient as your body has to use energy to convert these macromolecules to fat for storage.
