it's time for a ban.

and fitness seems to have two meanings in daily contexts. 1- relative strength or 2- v02 max. people rarely discuss fitness in terms of a healthy base of everything.

MM,

Amino acids float in your blood. And there's some crap about nutrient partitioning. Basically when you're losing weight and not eating enough. You get a lot of that "OH NOES WE ARE STARVING" bidness (read as hormonal milieu) going down. I don't know this idea in very much detail. Suffice to say I don't agree about the caloric excess part, but I do agree with him about the nutrient partitioning issues as virtually no one without a specific plan does what he claims or accidentally doing said plan. I spoke to KPC and he was like "Oh when I gained a ton of weight I was consuming a gajillion carbs+portein PWO" which is virtually just refeeding every PWO window. So you can kinda just "do it" without knowing or intentionally doing it. Blah blah blah this is rambling and basically nonsense.

I'm jk btw I really like and respect everyone in HF besides Thremp.

I really dislike that my LC thread was closed I was so proud of creating a thread that people actually reply to.

Because you embarrassed yourself running your mouth off? And then instead of acting like you had a clue you resorted to the "Well I'm rich. So whatever." When it was obvious to anyone you didn't have a ****ing clue what you were talking about and were factually incorrect about everything you stated.

Or are you mad because I made fun of you about overdosing on an anti-cortisol pill that you claimed you wanted to take PCT for?

You're below most of the SS-tards. Maybe AB has a lower one, but I doubt it. So ironically on the comments about being "muscular" you carry nearly the least muscle of anyone who posts here.
my 1rm bench is prolly 120% of my weight, how many of the fatties here can do that? i don't squat or deadlift but im sure my press is better than most relative to weight
03-02-2010 , 06:45 PM
its easy to have a high bench relative to your weight when you have no ****ing legs

You're "prolly" weaker than I am on a relative basis and def on an absolute basis. And you're smaller on an adjusted basis (I'm shorter and carry more LBM).

So the arguments about you being the "most fit" aren't based on either 1) muscle mass 2) strength. So can you explain what exactly you're basing your superiority on? That you were able to diet down to a low level of body fat? Did it occur to you that some people may be interested in carrying more bodyfat for a variety of reasons? IE to support LBM gains?

Not that any of this matters because your ability doesn't change your viewpoint or knowledge. But if you want to argue about how strong you are or how buff you are. Atleast be moderately close to correct. You're significantly weaker than most of the people that post here (I'm a lot weaker than some of the actually strong people) and smaller than almost everyone. Save the self-righteous, congratulatory rants for things that you deserve them on.

255, benched 335 about 3 months ago. 130% imo. prob can do ~350 now. slowly marching to 150%.
03-02-2010 , 06:50 PM
yeah well, I can do a 1000.

Haha. The "strong" benchmarks are 1.5/2/2.5 for bench/squat/DL. Higher at < 200 lower multiples at higher. Citing a 1.2xBW bench for being an expert by anecdotal experience is ridiculous. Its like claiming to beat NL25 at 2PTBB/100 and then writing a book and relying on your results as an appeal to authority.

When I skim the recent disputes in the LC threads and on HF in general, I really want to quit coming here. There are about 5 or 6 posters here who make this forum stay somewhat fun and not turn into a total kindergarten. Most others act childish and just seem to wait for the next opportunity to get into a useless flame war about some stupid ****.
Why don't you just stop arguing on the internet, do whatever you want, give advice to those who ask for it?
03-02-2010 , 06:54 PM
i press more than nycballer benches.

i dont think i've ever said i was buff lol, i said in shape. what does that mean? it means u line me up next to most of the people here and ask who is more in shape they would say myself. does that mean anything? no because apparently most of the expert posters here are considerably overweight and well i find it ironic to be lectured to on fitness by out of shape fat people

Im fat, but benching 150% of my BW, where does that place me?
03-02-2010 , 07:02 PM
I squat more than Miles presses

Then why are you talking about esoteric markers of strength? You're basically saying that everyone who is unwilling to diet down to low levels of bodyfat is "out of shape". Using this logic I could scorn J Brown since I'm more "in shape" despite him carrying a ton more LBM than me and being significantly better at almost every random marker of "fitness".

My point is that if you're going to scorn everyone on the basis of your own achievements. Atleast have worthwhile achievements. You're trying to start an epeen argument without realizing you have e-micropenis.

I thought about going back and applying attention to the previous posts, then I thought better.

my workset on bench is 1.3 bw
03-02-2010 , 07:06 PM
i'm far from a fatty, but i probably have a higher bf percentage than you do right now, because its winter and i care more about being badass than being ripped in the middle of february, but i am pretty sure that i am more "in shape" than you are now, or probably ever will be.

edit: also, more pics of car please

Many in this forum have treated long distance running similarly to nyc's attitude toward absolute strength. Nobody else finds it strange that of all the SS logs there aren't many if any examples of people who have gone from fat-fatter-10% body fat?
