had to squeeze something in between my son's two sports games. 6th day in a row for me and scheduled rest day tomorrow...which is a good thing because I'm going to a Ministry of Sound 90s revival warehouse party this pm and PEDs will be consumed. May double down and take Monday off too

very big night Saturday. Boozy come down day Sunday

heroically went to the gym tonight and the gods were kind to me as I couldn't get on a squat rack when I first got there, so I had to change my plan and trained upper body instead...which was kinder on my hangover

DB bench 3x5-34kg
DB Flye/bench 3x6/4-26kg
seated wide grip hammer row 3x7-160kg
Power clean 3x2-80, 1-82.5,85,87.5 f90
Bent over barbell row 3x6-80
Pull Downs - wide grip/close grip ss 3x8/8-57kg

HGH update is that I decided to stop after Weds. Was feeling really emo and also bloated and my heart wasn't in it. Have about $1500 worth of it that I think I'll try to sell. My performance enhancing PED days are probably behind me...at least until my testosterone readings drop

3x8/8 single leg extensions 44kg
4x5 Front Squat - 62.5kg
3x5 Deadlift - 145kg
4x3 Press - 57.5....3,3,2,2
3x10 DB Bench 28kg

felt really fatigued after the lower body stuff and didn't have the minerals to really attack the pressing and so dropped the weight on the bench and didn't do my push press or tricep stuff. Probably a lot to expect to fit into a session at my age

still taking the squatting part really slowly. Will move up 2.5kg again next time it's 5 re day. Same with deadlifts although I feel like I'm close to my limit on DL now

second enjoyable rowing session in a row....not sure there's a comeback in the offing but it's at least good to be making a little progress again

I re-did this month's CTC. It wasn't a max effort last week....or tonight tbh but I was still happy to improve my score my a little over 7 seconds, or 1.4/500. I did the first two splits a lot slower and that really helped me maintain a better pace through the longer legs in the middle of the workout which are the most important ones for the overall score

pretty good. took it easy to start with and got quicker every split. felt difficult at the end. scary that I've gone 400m further in 30 mins than this...without the 7 mins rest. Still...3 decent sessions this week and it's baby steps.

My thing was about helping to look, perform and feel better at the same age. If I die at the same age but have more quality of life that would have been fine and my two long cycles of growth, I definitely thought that was possible

I’ve pissed out over two kilos of water since I stopped last week though, so the bloating really is a thing

I had guessed that. The thing that gave it away was the really extensive thread about you trying to set new PRs.

all the prs came a long time after tbh. I actually don’t think it helped the strength much if at all - taking the training more seriously and actually following a consistent plan was the big difference IMO. Maybe it helped recovery and maybe that helped set the platform to get back into harder training and maybe there was still enough benefit from the cycle to help? Hard to know but I’m sure it did something.
From everything I’ve read though, you need to cycle hgh with testosterone to get much athletic benefit.

Definitely hinders cardio performance. Resting heart rate rises about 10% and even the last week since I’ve been off has been way way easier than the previous 3-4 weeks when I was taking it.

And tbh the above is why I stopped again. The previous times I got through the first month and got some decent fat stripping and mojo benefits. They are slow burn and I wasn’t patient to wait another few months and the fact that I wasn’t going to get much/any athletic benefits and actually some negatives made it a relatively easy decision

6th day in a row today and didn't get to the gym til after walking dog twice and my son's two sports games. All of which are a parade of excuses for why I did an easy day

4x8/8 single leg extensions - 41kg
3x3 front squat 75kg
3x8 kettlebell single leg RDL -28kg
4x5 Press 52.5kg

looking forward to the end of the winter sports season in a week or two and getting my weekends back....son currently playing 3 sports every weekend which is quite the commitment. Two games Sat, one game Sun and he also has training 3 nights during the week

- Soccer they won their semi final today and have the Grand Final next weekend. They have had an unbeaten season to this point. A little worried that by far the best player in his team is away in a surf competition next weekend.
- Rugby League, they won their quarter final today. Play the top seeds in the semi final next week when they will probably be beaten
- Rugby Union is tomorrow. Last week of the regular season and they've already made playoffs. Semi final will be next week.

so a minimum of 1 week and a maximum of 2 weeks left and then I can stay in bed and masturbate all day on a Saturday

re-did the CTC and managed to take 2.2 seconds off last week. Can't imagine I'm any fitter, so this is just me allowing myself a little deeper into the pain cave. Close to a max effort I'd think - the fact that I was faster on every split bar the last one shows that I had nothing left. I might try it again in two weeks when I'll hope to take another few seconds off it

Yep, it wasn’t fun. But it was my kind of painful - relatively short pieces of pain management and because of their brevity, the accompanying fear isn’t great…unlike doing a longer piece where you’re close to your limit for way more time

The 500 wasn’t great but it was really the 400 and 300 that hurt and by that point there’s not much fear left because the distances are reducing quickly

3x3 front squat - 75kg

2x2 power clean - 80kg. Had no snap after the DL failure so stopped

meh, fine. Still feeling below par and am in a huge funk right now. Hate being sick and this ****ing flu is really lingering.
