I had a big drop off in my AMR TB DL set on Friday. I was really beat from work the night before and I just wasn't feeling 100%. I almost opted out of the top set but at least I pushed through. I may have to reset my max and work back up again depending on how this week goes,

I took a spill Friday after my workout. I was doing some yard work and was dragging a phalanx of vines that I trimmed when I tripped over a dumbbell and fell hard on my ass and hip. It was sore as **** to where I could barely walk. Felt better Saturday and it didn't effect upper body stuff. Went to work Saturday night and of course it was busy as hell but I made it through my shift. Feels a lot better today so I'm hoping I dodged a bullet.

I didn't try my AMR set on DL's Friday. It was drizzling and I just didn't feel like I could get 1 rep at 340 much less multiple reps. I'm going to back off this week and start a new cycle based off a new much lower max.

I started a no carb diet on Wednesday. Not so much to lose weight but to see the effect that eating no sugar has on inflamation in my knee and shoulder. 5 days in and those joints actually feel better. I'll give it a few more days and reevaluate.

So after 10 days of no sugar I can say I felt a little drained doing DL's but my knee, which is always swollen, actually looks like a normal knee. I'm actually amazed and I'll take the trade off. I'm going to try to stay between 180 and 185 and limit my sugar intake.

You'd think I would have figured it out before I was 67. It's impossible for me to totally eliminate sugar and still enjoy life (gotta have ice cream nd an occasional dessert) but I'm trying to reduce my intake.

1/22 TB DL: RAINED OUT. I think this only the 2nd time in almost 4 years since I started the covid backyayd workout that I couldn't get my lifting in due to rain. It took me 2 1/2 hours to get to work (it normally takes 20 minutes) because of flooding. Worst rain I've seen in 44 years in SD.
