I finally saw some drop off in reps since losing weight. I only got 8 reps @ 300 on TB DL's Friday after getting 10 reps at the same weight 3 weeks ago. I wonder if it's possible to gain weight without gaining fat at the ripe old age of 65. My knee does feel better but I don't like losing strength. To gain or not to gain.

179 is what I weighed senior year in HS. I actually feel too skinny. The TB deads feel heavy as hell. I've definitely lost some strength. I'm going to go on a creatine cycle and try to gain more muscle than fat. Let's see how it goes.

The 340 TB DL was a real grind. Did 3 reps 3 weeks ago. Sheesh. I gained a little bit of weight. We'll see if the strength comes back.

Hey KC. Pretty funny, I just checked out your log before I came to post in mine. Interesting suff with the KB's and swimming.

My weight loss has stemmed mainly from stressing out over selling my business and not eating as much. Not exactly a regimen I would recommend. I'm actively trying to gain some wieght back. I just didn't feel right and the strength loss on DL's was alarming. I'm thinking the sweet spot for me is probably 185-190 where I can maintain strength and take some pressure off my knee. We'll see.

Felt really good this week. The 5 sets of 10 with the keg were surprisingly easy and it was nice to get 10 reps on the top set of TB DL's Friday. Gonna add about 5 lbs to the keg and start over with 5 sets of 5. Onward!

I added a gallon of water to the keg and I actually got most of it in so I figure I added about 6 lbs. The first set kicked my ass. I just couldn't find the right groove. Next 4 sets went better but it was still a real grind. I warm up with a keg that's almost empty but I think I might need something between the warm up keg and the work keg so it's not as big a jump. I say this every time I add weight to the keg but I can't see ever getting 5 sets of 10 with this weight. We'll see.
