I donated a trap bar to my gym years ago. I'm debating whether to contact someone there to see if I can have it back while we are locked out. I'd have to buy some plates but it would worth it IMO.

Added about 5 lbs to my keg. Hopefully I'll be able to continue with the rep progression. I am getting stronger on these. I have another heavier keg that I couldn't get 1 rep on that I was able to do after my regular keg workout.

I'm actually starting to like the idea of not driving to the gym. I do miss my trap bar DL's and my squat bar though.

Some private gyms did reopen but now they are closed again. I'm pretty sure mine, which is a city gym, never reopened. I haven't been motivated to check since the day I went to pick up my trap bar that I donated and there was nobody in the office. This was the day after they told me that there would be somebody there. Arrggh.

7/22 DL stuff: I tried hooking my trap bar up with bands with mixed results. Did a few sets with the DB's. Pretty unfulfilling day. I searched for a solution which should be here by my next DL day. Fingers crossed.

Since finding plates right now is almost impossible and really expensive when you do find them I opted to try another solution:



I found this company which makes hooks so that you can attach DB's together. I figured they might work to attach to my trap bar. It didn't go as smoothly as I hoped but in the end it wasn't too bad. I have a few adjustments in mind for this week which hopefully will make it easier.

New setup for the trap bar DL's worked a lot better. I was able to catch the hooks on the outside of the TB. After the 1st set the bar actually stayed in the hooks which made it much better. I stood on some 2x4's for some more range of motion. I built a platform to stand on for this week. Good times!

Decent week. I have a 5 month old puppy (Aussie Shepherd/Huskie mix) that comes in the backyard when I do my workout. Between sets we play fetch and mess around. For some reason he flips out when I do push ups. He tries to get under me and then he'll attack my head biting my hair. I'm usually laughing so hard I can barely finish a set. Dogs are awesome.

On Thursday my pooch came out in the yard with me to work out. He still had his vest on from when we went for a walk earlier. He hates putting the vest on or taking it off so I should have been more focused on taking it off but I tried undoing the clip with one hand while he grabbed my other hand in his mouth. I got frustrated trying to undo the clip which resulted in him biting down on my finger drawing blood. I was pissed. Yelled at him and went inside to stop the bleeding. When I came back out there was paper all over the backyard. The little bastard got my workout notebook and shredded it. Dogs are awesome.
