Yeah, I guess they're a competitive powerlifting team first and then take on as many neckbearding nerds such as myself as they can at $130\hr to try and pay off their 250k fitout.

It's probably also worth mentioning that while it is a fairly small space, this is in a very expensive part of town (the big commercial businesses around this area are luxary car dealers), so I imagine their operating costs would be pretty high too... not sure if they're going to make it, but let's see.

And oh ok, they're a super special neckbearding secrit group. Sounds cool.
Sounds perfect for Snitch, actually.

Great trip report! Interested to see what effect this has on your progression.

Good jerb Snitch. How many sessions are you planning on taking then?

Also I'm fairly convinced it was mainly Cha who taught us all to breathe like that.

Cheers, bros.

syn, I've got a number in my head of after around six months (so around six sessions) I will reevaluate my life. I will probably go back to boxing around then and won't try and combine "srs" lifting while boxing.

I know cha has been banging on about breathing\bracing for forever, although I think it was actually a Chris Duffin video which eventually got me over the line.

There's reportedly a chapter in SS on breathing/bracing/valsalva, but that wouldn't be the source for you guys obviously.

SS? What's that? Doesn't sound like it would work...

lolz indeed.

I'm going to say it was irritated due to testing maxes on the big three and then squatting on consecutive days... not that there isn't a problem there anyway. whatever. I hate life.

Side note... this guy wants me doing heaps of wall squats. What are they good for again?

If I was guessing... my hip\groin is an over active\inflamed\tight hip flexor (probably psoas), wall squats (and other glute activation work he prescribed) are to try and get my pc working better coming out of the hole?

I've been praising wall squats for months.

They instill the right movement pattern with even anterior/posterior loading and minimising the habit of forward knee slide at the bottom.

New programs are the worst. My shoulders were killing me for closer to a month after getting on dat Evo programming train. ****ing high rep women's press work :/

Also, we need to get G4S here to judge when the women's press start being a regular press, i.e. what degree of incline is needed. Or whether it's standing BB only.

What does "coming out of the hole" refer to when you PC?

You probably suck monster ass at it and monopull, so not sure anyone should really be giving a **** what you're doing off the floor since you prob can't even rebend/scoop.

posterior chain is my guess?

Well PC in this case is power clean. But there is no real hole. Back angles/styles vary pretty wildly until you rebend/scoop, then everyone looks alike. Its like basketball/golf/etc with technical development. There are huge chunks that don't matter, but the business end is all anyone cares about.

Like here's a bro jumping forward on their snatch, which to most n00blords is a monster nono: http://www.allthingsgym.com/lu-xiaojun-180kg-snatch/

I actually read that as posterior chain as well. Not sure how his sentence makes sense otherwise.

Thremp confirmed derping. "pc" referred to posterior chain in that instance. I'll give you a pass this time because I often struggle to write a coherent sentence when I'm spamming random thoughts in my log.

"wall squats (and other glute activation work he prescribed) are to try and get my pc working better coming out of the hole?"

wall squats (and other glute activation work he prescribed) are to try and get my posterior chain working better coming out of the hole?
