Hello,
due to new laws im where I live, I might have to play in germany, can anyone explain to me how is it there with taxes from poker?
Or does unibet have there a license and unibet is paying taxes?

Thanks for reply in advance.

For tax purposes, it doesn't matter where you play from but in which country you pay taxes.

If you pay taxes in Germany, you should consult a tax attorney to talk to him about your situation.

Thanks, but I would like to know, what are the german laws, if you live in germany and have german citizenship, what is actually german law about gambling and online poker. Because in many countries you don't have to pay taxes on wins under certain $$$ number. Or some online poker rooms have license there and you don't have to pay taxes, because the poker room is already paying them.

Unfortunately, there's no clear cut answer to that question.

If you are a professional poker player, you'd probably get taxed like a business. Otherwise it might depend on a multitude of factors to determine if you are playing a game of chance (which is taxfree) or if your side income from poker is taxable.
