Yeah I think he meant as a career but I felt it still applied to most people. Like, if I do this I'd do some amateur fights theres no way I'd train hard for 6 months or more just for one fight. And the training itself isnt that exciting

I mean, if you're just fighting your friend and some Jr. level amateur stuff, you're fine, but if your heart isn't in it, you should 100% not do it.

im more interested how you retired so young wtf

I think you’re overthinking. Noone is training hard for 6 months for that level amateur fights. In here, most people who start boxing and want to compete do it for few months casually, 2-3 times per week and have their first amateur match. Hell, I had a training partner in BJJ who first, before any martial arts training (just gym) had an amateur MMA match and straight after that started training

Cool thing about amateurs is that in the lower levels, weight cutting is barely an issue and a lot of fights are 3, 2-min rounds so guys fight as often as 4 times a month.

Plus, combat sports training is a great way to stay in shape, even if you NEVER spar. Boxing and Muay Thai are obvious but Damn if rolling isn't exhausting too.

stop it now i wanna go back

ill let my fingers fully heal first i think I just made it worse going back even with better wraps, i dont think my technique was even that bad compared to earlier so its very frustrating (still hurting after 4-5 days since last -_-)

Masvidal is quickly becoming my new favorite fighter. This video is just great. Dude has no quit in him.

masvidal is a beast, you can just tell by the look of him that he'd be picking fights in bars if he weren't a pro fighter

He was a youtube street fighter before he ever became a serious pro, so he's been there done that.

That Ray dude's lucky he has like 20 pounds over Jorge or he might've died jesus

Kirb: Now that you got real wraps, you'll be fine. Go to a real boxing gym and learn how to keep your hands up (helps with an instructor popping you in the side of the head when you drop your hands) and doing combo drills. Your first couple of months you'll improve at a crazy fast pace.

RT,

My first reaction skimming the title was what, Davey Boy Smith proclaimed Bisping GOAT?
10-28-2017 , 08:11 PM
I wasn't aware that

Middleweight Derek Brunson vs. Lyoto Machida
Welterweight Demian Maia vs. Colby Covington

is tonight

i was just watching an advert on the commercials for GSP v bisping, and they were hyping up the james vick fight before it- didnt realize his nickname is the "texecutioner". given texas' shameful history with capital punishment, i hope he gets ktfo
10-28-2017 , 11:40 PM
its just a take on the "mexicutioner" nickname imo
