Yea I'm kinda cool with throwing a boomerang at a guy who has been calling an entire nationality dirty filthy animals. Not smart on Werdums part, but I don't feel it's wrong morally.
11-16-2017 , 08:08 PM
these dudes are fighters, and those were fightin' words, as they say. no crocodile tears or sympathy when he calls out an entire country and somebody decides they want to step to him

he deserves to get his ass kicked
11-16-2017 , 08:43 PM
Colby should've ankle picked him.
11-16-2017 , 09:51 PM
Werdum threw a boomerang and ended up hitting himself in the face.
11-16-2017 , 10:18 PM

It's too late.

so i just got around to watching pettis v poirier and went on google to see if pettis was diagnosed with a broken rib or w/e- i saw an article that had some quotes from duke roofus and he was complaining that the stoppage to check anthony's cuts occurred right as he was locking in a triangle choke...sooo i re-wound the fight and it def looks like he was locking it up when the ref called time and separated them.

i mean they were soaked in enough blood that there's no guarantee that triangle attempt would have amounted to anything, but def seems like poor judgment on the ref's part to move in there when he did. everybody was kinda "lol pettis, all you gotta do is take him down to win" afterwards, but he legit could have won that.

anthony's eyes were so gruesome, i like the stoppage. anthony was legit blind. you either have to call the fight or wipe his eyes out. his eyes were little pools of blood, it was seriously nasty.
11-18-2017 , 01:24 PM
that stoppage could have waited 5-10 seconds when he wasnt actively going for a submission tho
11-18-2017 , 04:53 PM
I said it before but I was more impressed with Pettis in that fight than his other recent ones. He lost but he was live the whole time.

Would've been so sick if the Bellator tourney all took place in 1 night. Probably would've needed some fighters under 45 though.

Poor Tete, actually had to get tapped up for that.

i'm on to my 3rd verson of my prototype MMA scorecard that's more than just a table to write 10s and 9s in.

you can download it here, if you are very generous with your time, print it out and try using it and tell me if it's even useful.

i'm not sure exactly how it should be used, or if a scorecard is even useful for helping judge a fight. it might be a waste of time. has anyone else created a MMA scorecard?

right now, i need to develop a system of shorthand to mark moments during the fight.

for example, mark an X if someone gets knocked down.

mark a W if someone gets wobbled.

mark a T if someone gets taken down

shade in a block to indicate that fighter is "winning" that portion of time by inflicting more damage.

i have no idea. let me know if you think of something. really not sure if a scorecard is even useful for MMA. the first two versions were a horizontal time-line, and it was too weird. perhaps the top-down will be easier to use.

All four prelim fights from UFC Fight Night in Sydney last night are worth catching if you can.
