Any suggestions for big heads/wide faces in this thread or not mentioned yet? OP, are those Fly Bolts narrow fitting or are they pretty wide?

They are not narrow as Oakley and other made from plastic/similar material. Actually many of my friends tried them and almost everyone was satisfied by their reflection in the mirror. Furthermore, I have a somewhat wide face, but can measure the sunglasses for you later in the day if you want.

my maui jims are actually recommended for wider faces.

seriously mauijim.com is a really well-done comprehensive website. This coulod be the sunglasses thread and all that's in the OP is a link to MJ's site and then the thread could be closed.

blublockers rule.

Currently I'm using the Gucci 1585. Works fine for me. Also, imo the sunglasses in OP are probably some of the worst I've ever seen, but hey, diff'rent strokes.

Someone mentioned 15$ sunglasses... whatever you do, never ever wear these kind of shades, ESPECIALLY outside. Quality sunglasses are pricey not only because of their name or design, but because they have great protection and do not damage your eyes in the long term. Bad lens = bad eyes, no discussion about it.

If you want cool and quality things, then you have to invest money in them. I'd rather pay 100$+ and have my eyes intact then spend 1k+ on some silly suit.
You do not have to spend $100+ just to get UV protection. There are plenty of legit brands selling $20 sunglasses that will protect your eyes just as well as $400 designer sunglasses.

Not really lightweight, but picked these up a year or so ago and am really happy. Can't complain about the polarized oakley lens. Think they were around $290 retail or something like that.

Bought these in Vegas last year:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/ima...0&color_name=1

Bought a pair of Oakley half-wire 2.0 polarized last week (the matte black not the carbon bronze): http://oakley.ca/pd/5539

And bought a pair of Oakley XX for $60 off a guy at work, sort of as a beater pair. He says he paid $160 originally, don't know if I got a good deal or not but the shades are in fine shape.

Want to get one more pair, the Oakley Juliets:

http://oakley.ca/pd/1123

If Musket Man had won the Derby yesterday (came 3rd) would have paid for the Juliets. But will get them soon enough. Leaning towards the polished VR28s but considering the Ice Iridium too.

Does anyone have experience with Persol?

Already been mentioned, but Native's really are great sunglasses and not too terribly expensive (between $100 and $150.) I am a roofer in the summer and they are really hard to break, but I've managed to do it a few times and just mailed them in and got a brand new pair (gotta love lifetime warranties!)
