Looks like Nate was pissed that the Conor fight isn't on the same card as him/Poirer.

Porier tweeted the same thing. Duped by the UFC and Dana? I wonder if they signed anything thing or if it was just verbally agreed upon.

Surprised Nate came back for Poirier but It's a good match up for him. Was probably told he gets to fight Conor after if he wins regardless of Conors result with Khabib.

Khabib smash. I'm going to be so incredibly tilted if Conor somehow KO's him in the first 2 minutes. Not because Conor would win but just because I wanna see it at least go past the first round.

I don't give Conor much of a shot if it goes past the first round.

yea i think khabib will end up wrestling and breaking conor.

I respect McGregor for fighting Khabib. I didn't think he would.

Hopefully Nate is ready to go on Oct 6th just in case. Although I don't expect Khabib to pull out/miss weight, he does have a history. That's a lot of cash to miss out on.

I lost that notion for good when he took on Mendes w/ short notice.

Khabib is going to give him the wake up-call that Nate portended. Or not and he ko's him in the first exchange.

Khabib for sure is scary as hell when the fight ends up on the ground. He will in all likelihood be way more effective than Mendez on the ground and it’s hard to argue against that but anyone who thinks he can easily take Conor down or take Conor down without risking getting knocked out is crazy.

Conor’s takedown defense is underrated imo and some of his attributes negate some of the less obvious advantages of good wrestling.

Wrestling is very good because you can control where the fight goes but wrestling is important for a lot of other reasons. Great wrestlers with good striking seldom lose rounds and can score with their wrestling or control the clock and or pace of the fight. (Ex: DC, GSP, JBJ)

Conor to a certain extent doesn’t care about the scoring, he can win rounds with a knockdown or win a fight with a KO. His effectiveness on the scorecards is historically poor but also unimportant because his fights seldom end there.

There is a reason why Conor can “predict dees tings” because he gets a couple of good looks vs a wrestler where he can get off a sniper shot. He laser focuses on what those exchanges are going to look like ahead of time and then performs them to great effect in the fights.

Made me sad to hear Rogan and DC struggle to figure out 10% of 135 and puzzle it out to about 13lbs being close enough.

I guess Cejudo won. I'd like my 11 time defending champion to get clearly beat ty.
