how do you get one of those posters that the fighters are always signing on a tuesday?

I would think DC saying that no one else deserves the LHW belt right now would be a way of prolonging him holding it without defending it.

Conor-type move.

It’s kinda weird to me the way these fighters jealously guard their end of career record. When you look back on the legends they are usually remembered for their peak, not decline. It’s not like it isn’t transparent when they choose easy fights and if anything it diminishes their standing more than the few extra wins help it. Imo anyway.

Yea I doubt we see Cormier at LHW again. His last couple weight cuts killed him and he had to cheat to make one of them. Plus he got super fat, would be brutal trying to make 205 anytime soon at his age.

I doubt Cormier ever wants to fight JJ again, especially after getting the 2 divisions titles.

Would literally ruin his own legacy to go 0-3 to jones right before retiring. And at this point he probably believes its really damn likely he'll lose.

He just beat Stipe, fought Jones twice, and cleaned out the light hw division. Why shouldn’t he be able to fight shogun if that fight pays the most?
07-10-2018 , 06:08 PM
The only fighters you can argue he’s dodging he already beat. Shogun doesn’t have a quality top five win to justify a title shot but let’s not act like he’s completely washed up, all his losses were to quality opponents and he’s years younger than DC.

Does that fight pay the most? If so that is ****ed up. I’m not saying the dude is a dodger, but this is a replay of Bisping if he is letting the war torn legends jump the line. If it is not because he is guarding his legacy and is because he wants easier fights to preserve brain matter or they do pay more, good for him. I was only talking about the argument that it will make his legacy stronger. It won’t imo.

The only thing that's going to make or break his legacy is another loss or beating Jones. He's beaten everyone he needs to beat but Jones. On top of that Brock isn't an easy fight for anyone.

I don’t think we disagree except another loss won’t break his legacy imo. Beating jones makes it better but other than that if he retires now or beats lesnar and shogun makes zero difference to how people think of him in 10 years. The reality is, sadly they won’t. The whole legacy thing is fleeting af in mma. IF anyone remembers any fighter it is vague.

as a rando/casual/dont train bro, all i know is when they pan to cokehead cte chuck in the crowd, i always get a smile on my face and tip my glass at him for being a badass. i dont think at all about him getting slept in his last 17 fights or whatever

You know I thought Brock had worse striking than he did before I rewatched Lesnar vs Cain

He didnt look that bad at all first 2 minutes especially against a guy like Cain.

Like compare him to anyone else in the UFC whos had 5 fights or less hes in the top tier of learning how to strike, and at heavyweight

Felder's broken arm in round 1 vs Mike Perry... appaerntly it was true O_o

So Dana and Schaub get into it on instagram with Dana saying people will stop caring about Schaub once Rogan stops carrying him. Shaub then responds with this and it ends with Schaub basically saying Dana was sleeping with Ronda.

07-12-2018 , 09:27 PM
Juicy. I generally don't put any stock into anything Schaub says but it wouldn't surprise me if Dana banged Ronda.

hes never looked awful, but man brocks cardio seems questionable. i think DC would destroy lesnar. this cain fight lesnar was much younger too.
07-13-2018 , 01:12 AM
Or Dana banged Bryan Callen.
07-13-2018 , 01:41 AM
I never knew Schaub got with ronda for a while, weird.
07-13-2018 , 07:06 AM
There's also been rumours for years about Dana banging the ring girls while on tour. Schaub doesn't necessarily have to be talking about Ronda here.
