Honestly thought they were going to cover the other eye and do the "how many fingers?" doubt he could see at all out of that eye at that point.

Chael is a caricature of a caricature at this point. His scripted, rehearsed trash talk is cringeworthy at the best of times and in this case, it's made even worse by the fact that it's clearly wasted on Fedor.

Could be a similar case to Cerrone. Lack of footwork and head movement would lead to him just getting pressured and punched in the face an unbelievable amount and having a hard time getting his kicks off.

Obv ton of variables like wrestling and how much damage he can do with the kicks he does land early.

wtf why would someone on that level get coaching from Edmund? Wouldn't he realize Edmund was garbage from just one training session with him? Or did he not train with him at all and just put him in his corner for publicity?

Best guess: friends via the LA-Armenian fighting community. Martirosyan takes the fight on a few weeks notice, has troubling getting his usual coach ("Hey, wanna train me for a fight May 5th? "Sure" "Great. It's against GGG" "GGG on June 5th, great" "No, May 5". "Oh, MAY 5th? ****. Can't do it. GL bro, sure you'll win".). So goes with his bud.

To be fair he’s fighting Triple G and he’s going face down ass up no matter who his coach is. He’s probably just picking the guys who charge him the lowest percentage as he’s basically getting paid to take an L.
