Guys - would you rather see Khabib v. Felder/Iaquinita/Pettis or Khabib v. someone at UFC 224, which is the only other PPV Khabib is available for for a while (because of Ramadan)?
04-06-2018 , 10:18 AM
So is this event now officially a bigger ****show than the one they cancelled a while back?

The only person that would make any sort of sense would be Eddie Alvarez. I'd rather Khabib fight Pettis. I think Pettis' submission game will at least give him a chance of winning.

Has anyone been able to confirm that Conor yelled "Form Voltron!" right before the attack?

Probably just get in his face. The funniest thing about all of this is Conor could have fought Khabib legally, made like 20+ million, and do way more to him than some weak teenager intimidation.

Instead he'll get sued for a boatload of money, damage his brand and future earning potential massively, and have some stupid criminal nonsense to deal with, all while doing absolutely nothing to Khabib.

Felder would have taken the fight but NYAC said no b/c he's "not ranked".....
04-06-2018 , 12:20 PM
The drama surrounding this card is fantastic entertainment.

So is he just holding out for more money before he makes weight?

Where was Conor in the boxing rankings when the Mayweather bout was approved? I guess the difference is that the NYAC is an actual commission.

One time al beat khabib and go from 20k a fight to winning a main event killing Dana by instant stroke.
04-07-2018 , 05:05 AM
Wasnt Iaquinta the guy who was trying to get fired by talking mad **** about the ufc and Dana on Twitter or im misremembering?

If so rooting for him (and i love khabib)
04-07-2018 , 05:48 AM
yeah it s him
04-07-2018 , 10:54 AM
He quit for like a year to sell real estate and then came back.
04-07-2018 , 01:13 PM
Has Khabib ever even lost a round in the UFC?
04-07-2018 , 01:20 PM

Couldn’t even get him a sign.

Would love to have overheard the contract negotiations. Pettis must have been asking for a ridiculous amount to lose the fight to a guy who is best known for **** talking the organization.

Al’s victories are pretty impressive tho. 85% takedown D and he’s real tough. He’s live at least.
04-07-2018 , 01:49 PM
they couldn't do the pettis fight. all of the real fans would have been so annoyed. we've all seen pettis lose to much lesser wrestlers than khabib. literally nobody wants to see that fight.

this fight i actually do want to see, because raging al seems like the kind of guy who hates to be underestimated and he will also have additional fuel via spite and hatred toward the UFC
04-07-2018 , 02:14 PM
Raging Al is legit with wins over Jorge Masvidal and Kevin Lee.
04-07-2018 , 02:23 PM
well at least with this fight we get the first occasion this year where a republican stands in opposition to russia

khabib is going to destroy him tho

Heh

I think AL is live. Dude is pretty darn good with legit tdd. Much, much better fight than Pettis. Plus no prep time means way higher variance
04-07-2018 , 05:54 PM
Yeah, he might be more live than Max too although Max’s striking moving backwards is elite. I’m just pissed because I had bets I really liked down on Khabib vs Max.
04-07-2018 , 09:20 PM
i got Al for the longshot KO/tko/sub +2200 and +2800 1st and 2nd round. if i lose oh well its $50 and if i win bahaha

mainly cuz i like him as a fighter and he talks **** about fat dana
04-07-2018 , 09:21 PM
