Perhaps he was given something by the production team, but I'm skeptical it was anything more than him, Jimmy and Anik thinking Romero won/could have won. Also, I don't think those media scores are published quick enough for Rogan to know about them minutes after the fight ends. This is pretty standard for Rogan. He hears/believes something then reiterates it as if it's common knowledge. Just listen to him talk about Jon Jones' tainted cocaine theory to see it in action.

EDIT:

Anik made an interesting point. They’re under the new scoring and if round five wasn’t 10-8 Romero idk what a 10-8 round looks like. I had Whitaker wining a close fight under old rules and either a draw or a Romero win under new rules. I was really confused why Romero wrestled out the end of round five when he had Whittaker hurt very badly. Him and his corner clearly thought he won the fight but I can’t see how they should be so confident.

Covington doing a bang up job of getting me to root for Woodley. Didn't know that was possible.
06-14-2018 , 10:25 AM
Colby covington sucks, demian maia was lighting him up on the feet iirc

Dude is just some racist trailer trash wrestler, all his finishes are against nobodies

There isnt a title fight i care less about/that would be more boring than cc v woodley
06-14-2018 , 01:56 PM
if he starts the fight jumping into woodley like he did for RDA he might be getting slept really early that would be some popcorn scenario

After opening for his last title defense as a more than 2-to-1 favorite to defeat Maia, Woodley (-140) opened only as a slight betting favorite over the interim UFC welterweight champion Covington (+110) in a potential title unification match between the two rivals, according to lines posted Wednesday by online sportsbook Bovada.

CC might be the best pressure fighter in the UFC right now. He just walked down RDA for 5 straight rounds. RDA is almost always is the boss in there but CC gave him no space and no time to do much of anything. It's not pretty but it's working and Woodley is definitely in very tough.

People really, really want Covington to be mediocre. The problem is that he’s an All-American wrestler with tricky kickboxing and a ridiculously deep gas tank. More than simple cardio, Covington is absurdly mentally tough. There were numerous Diaz brother comparisons, and that is accurate on some level. Covington keeps the suffocating pressure on with slapping strikes and sneaky power, but he also mixes in endless takedowns.

Oooooh worldclass wrestle****er tho thcary

His wrestling vs Woodley will consist of praying Woodley gasses while Woodley rag dolls him.

Woodley seems really vulnerable to mental warfare. He has a thin skin. I think Colby can get under it and get him to fight stupidly.

Strongly disagree. Woodley took all the boring fighter hate on the chin and stayed with his winning, boring game plan vs wonderboy. I am not a fan at all, but I don’t see him doing anything hot-headed ever.

Yeah, Woodley 100% dislikes Covington but I don’t see him fighting stupid. He’s trying to sell a fight.

Who has ever talked **** to Woodley? Boring ass Maia? Wonderboy? Lawler?
Nobody.
He loses his **** because people call him boring.
Let's see how he handles Colby.
Aldo never lost his **** before Conor.

lol, did you see woodley said covington's sister tried to "slide in his DMs"

i don't see how colby ever regains the upper hand in the trash talk
06-21-2018 , 10:17 AM
yea i mean he basically shut down the entire discussion with one expertly played tweet

no matter what CC throws at him, the response can always just be "oh yea? cool, i bet your sister still wants it tho"

Donald Cerrone is a cautionary tale about not taking short notice fights after having tough brutal fights recently.

surprising that his body isnt forcing him to retire yet tbh

Yup said he’s gonna fight for 5 more years (he’s 35). Don’t think that’s gonna go v well.

He really does seem to love it as much as anyone tho.

i really wonder if they TRUELY understand what theyre doing i.e. he'll probably be in a lot of pain for the rest of his life at the very least and might have serious brain issues if hes unlucky.

Schaub got it after a while, gsp got it...

Cerrone is bad with money. This is an old tale.

He's going to end up fighting in Bellator.
06-28-2018 , 02:48 PM
cerrone could die any day from any of his activities let s get real
06-28-2018 , 03:05 PM
Cerrone fights for the same reason he does all the extreme sports. He’s a adrenaline junky and that’s why he wants to fight on every card. This worked out fine when he was on a winning streak getting a lot of finishes and getting out with minimal damage. Fighting once a month however doesn’t work well when you’re taking massive damage and this compounds in consecutive fights. His age is also a problem but I think the only reason he didn’t have problems with this earlier in his career was because there weren’t enough events and or he was getting out without tons of damage.
