Does anyone have tips for getting lessons at less than hill rates? I ski Sunshine and they charge $360/half day (3 hours) for private instruction. I tried google but I can't find what I want - just the resorts and information about becoming an instructor.
If you know an instructor, ask them if they want to work off the books. If you don't know one personally then most will probably say no (most places it's a sackable offense if they get caught).
If you have time (three days maybe) doing the instructor course yourself is actually a pretty good way to improve your technique (as you have to be really accurate).
Another 30cm plus day here today - not Japan standards, but good enough for mere mortals.
