francis should have punched him in the face like 3 more times in rd 1, that would have done it me thinks

Miocic is the GHOST!!!

HW & LHW kinda suck. At HW the only fights I'm interested in seeing the champ have are v. a 40 yr old he already beat in one round & 35 yo who's fought twice in over four years.

LHW I'm interested in seeing the champion defend against a guy he already beat in a close fight, and after that ....

cannot wait for july for jones to be back and make DC cry again²
01-23-2018 , 07:18 AM
Because its so cool to see DC cry ?
01-23-2018 , 09:14 AM
I don't care what anyone says, DC is awesome.
01-23-2018 , 09:21 AM
DC is awesome but i like when jones remind him how the foodchain works, DC trashtalking was not great last week.
01-25-2018 , 10:53 AM
DC is awesome and if his two fights with Jon never happend he would be in consideration for GoaT. I don’t think people understand how big his accomplishments were before he even moved to 205.
01-25-2018 , 10:57 AM
Too bad DC doesn't seem interested by the Stipe fight that would be really interesting. I'm a bit tired of his Cain will come back excuse. It's not like Cain has any chance to get a title fight anytime soon and if DC was to beat Stipe he could retire with no regret and an insane career
01-25-2018 , 11:06 AM
It’s funny because most of the guys in consideration for GoaT have losses to much weaker opponents than JBJ. I think for some reason the fact that DC doesn’t have direct lineage to the belt leaves a bad taste in their mouth.

Off the top of my head
Anderson: many losses
GSP: Matt Serra
Mighty Mouse: Dominic Cruz
Dominic Cruz: Cody Garbrant
Stipe: Stefan Struv, JDS
Cain: Werdum, JDS
Conor: multiple losses
Fedor: multiple losses
Jose Aldo: Conor, Max
Max: Conor
Jon: cocaine, drug tests
01-25-2018 , 11:20 AM
Mighty mouse lost 6 years ago and since he has been super dominant.
Conor still is a goat at 145.
If mighty mouse was to move up and lost, i dont think it would tarnish his legacy much.

The goat debate is very subjective and is depending alot on recent results.
That s why going heavyweight for one last fight for DC seems like a good idea since he plan to retire next year. Ending his career with 2 belts and beating stipe would be better than a last fight with jon(wich doesnt seems that unlikely for anyone that listen to novitsky on rogan).

fyp. none of jons opponents are even real people! jon confirmed GOAT.

For DC I can imagine him getting caught up in wanting to fight a clean JBJ like the one he saw face OSP. That would probably mean more to his legacy than anything else's he could do including 2 belts. It would legitimize him in the GOAT discussion like nothing else.

conor as 145 goat is just plain stupid
01-26-2018 , 04:38 AM
the only other 2 in contention he beat easily.

Sucks for Aldo but his legacy is kind of ruined by losing 3 out of his last 4, and hes not old yet.
01-26-2018 , 04:51 AM
Goat debate is steril and subjective
01-26-2018 , 05:48 AM
Goat should be TJ cause Mighty Mouse (who's considered p4p #1 which I think is bull****) has been dodging him for quite some time and TJ's split decision loss to Cruz is very debatable. TJ was also very willing and ready to have a rematch but Cruz kept choosing to not fight the #1 contender and instead do "money fights" against #13 contenders while TJ was doing #1 vs #2 contender on every fight.

That's only going off of the Mighty Mouse #1 bull****. Real goat is obviously Khabib.
01-26-2018 , 05:53 AM
think we were talking about goat at 145 pounds only
01-26-2018 , 10:35 AM
probably not many are excited for the card tomorrow night, but don't forget, 10-0 Gregor "The Best Fisherman in MMA" Gillespie is fighting on the main card!
01-26-2018 , 10:43 AM
see now, i googled and saw that he talked about being an avid fisherman. so i wanted to root for him, but then i saw this-

Quote:
“I would like to fish for about 10 days considering I’m the best fisherman in MMA, as well,” Gillespie told reporters following his win at UFC 210. “That’s a fact. I go out and I catch fish every time I fish.
no real fisherman says that, guaranteed he's some kind of jobber.

"that's why it's called 'fishin' and not 'catchin'"

There’s a chance UFC 226 could feature three champion vs. champion fights. The UFC is considering booking flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson vs. bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw on the card, and earlier this week, women’s featherweight champion Cris “Cyborg” Justino pitched the idea of fighting women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes on July 7, as well.

I know most non-casual fans like to dislike mcgregor but he's beaten both soundly (only Holloway avoided getting KO'd in all of the 145 fights against him)

I think Jose and Max have a better claim to the title even though they both lost to Conor. I don't think someone having 7 fights total at 145 in UFC is the GOAT, especially when half of them are against scrubs. And yeah, he beat Max, but I wouldn't call beating 2013 3-2 version of Max that impressive or relevant right now to the debate.

Max dominating Jose twice is more impressive to me than Conor KOing him with a single shot in basically the only exchange. But I also don't give a **** or feel strongly about this topic/debate. I just think he needs to defend a belt or fight more top 5 fighters to be the GOAT.

Beating green Max, KOing Jose with a single shot and getting roughed up and finishing no camp Mendes doesn't do it for me. I don't think any of them HAVE to be called GOAT right now. There's time and Max is definitely looking more right for the part, IMO.

Conor beating Aldo is a first time achievement. Max will be 2nd on the list of people beating him.
How absurd is it to disregard Conor win because it was too fast.
