BRIAN "MOTHER****ING" ORTEGAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Wow
03-17-2018 , 03:41 PM
That's one of the wildest things I've seen in MMA.

prime Werdum is long gone
03-17-2018 , 07:23 PM
probably one of the worst Werdum performances i have ever seen. Looked like he wasn't taking anything serious.
03-17-2018 , 07:23 PM
ouch

Good card.

Werdum vs stipe was his worst performance. His stomach looked soft yesterday. It was super helpful for volkov to have trained with werdum. I was really impressed with the ground action. Werdum had some nice sweeps. To have spent 10-15 minutes on the ground with werdum and lived to tell the tale is amazing. 29 is young for heavyweight.
The whole card was awesome.

That Paul Craig submission is one of the sickest comebacks I've witnessed in MMA. I had him losing the fight 30-25.

Volkov's looked better each time out, against stiffer competition each time. Love to see him piece up Ngannou or Reem before getting a shot.

yea the paul craig sub was ****ing amazing. i was like WHAT!!! WHATTTTT

dude was like 99.9% chance to lose and just goes for it with UNDER 10 seconds left. then finishes with like 1 second left. reminded me of silva when he popped that triangle up on chael, a little more time on that but was still amazing.

seems like werdum is done and cant ever win a ufc title again
03-23-2018 , 12:23 AM
can someone with FightPass please help/explain this to me.

I download UFC on my Roku. I click on Anderson Silva's profile and all his fights back from before UFC are listed. perfect, I buy FightPass and sign in.

Now I click on his profile and nothing happens. When I click on anyone's profile nothing happens. I search 'Anderson' and there's like 4 of his fights on there. Is that normal? do they really have all his fights listed and you just cant watch them?
03-23-2018 , 12:25 AM
the search function on fightpass has been screwed up for a long time.

i haven't used the roku software, but i've found the best way to watch the fights i want to is to watch the entire event replay for that fight and skip ahead
03-23-2018 , 12:47 AM
ok thanks. I came back to delete my post because once I watched one fight it seems like all the ones I saw initially are available.

Anderson is the stone cold GOAT. HE JUST FRONT KICKED HIM IN THE FACE

Anthony Joshua fighting next weekend. I think I am way more excited for heavyweight boxing than most ufc. Joshua vs wilder is a dream fight.

Pretty sick that Rose goes from +570 underdog to +120 because he caught Joanna in the first round last fight.
03-29-2018 , 11:46 AM
i mean she didn't really catch her, she whooped her ****ing ass

idk i didnt rewatch it or anything, i know joanna landed a few shots early but i dont remember thinking rose was in any serious trouble before she started connecting. full disclosure, i also dont have the greatest track record with remembering the finer points of these headline fights
03-29-2018 , 12:35 PM
i probably won't wager but i like rose +120. -110 -110 seems fair for the rematch.

Seems almost as if catching her multiple times in the first round is new information and should move the line?
03-29-2018 , 06:26 PM
I'd really like to know if the "hole" Rose found was something they had picked up on in Joanna's technique and game planned for or if it just came to Rose in the moment. Either way she found something no one else has in Joanna's striking and it will be a very interesting rematch.

Rose trained for months with stun gun who was the only person who ever beat JJ and it up was in kickboxing iirc.
03-29-2018 , 06:37 PM
Last I heard Pat Berry is now sober as well and he can actually help Rose as opposed to being an obstacle to her success.

Possibly the greatest MMA video of all time:

If the UFC had a series finale.

Yeah, just seems to move too much for a fight that was a great win for Rose, but didn't really show that Rose is more skilled imo. But my track record is terrible in these and I think I don't give enough attention to psychology of loss for dominant champion, I thought Anderson and Ronda would crush their opponents after their loss

Yeah, that track record is bad.

JJ is different than both of those examples. I would argue she was beat close to as soundly as the other examples but she is still at the top of her game. Ronda and Anderson had both let the fight game pass them by physically, mentally, and or strategically.

JJ’s problem is she doesn’t have a lot of power and she is hitable. She relies on beautiful combos and cardio to outwork her opponent and hit them two or three times every time she gets hit. This works extremely well for doing damage and winning with the judges. The problem JJ had is Rose just sat on a couple of bombs and they both connected. JJ needs to be a little more unpredictable and a lot harder to hit in the next fight.
