And will hopefully be boning again when I visit.. It'll be nice to have someone who speaks the language to show me around, introduce me to people and help me find a place.

I spent a couple days in Villa Gesell which is nice and laid back. From what I was told when I was in BsAs, Mar del Plata is a huge cluster**** and there are so many high raises on the beach that they block the sun for the sunbathers.

The beaches in general are blah as you'll need to go to Uruguay for nice beaches. Again, from what I'm told. And the beach at Villa Gesell was not like the movies or anything.

So for this week's segment of 2p2BADC we will try LA Celeste in Palermo Hollywood. I figure all the new people haven't gotten sick of parrilla yet. As always, Tuesday at 9:00.

It allways depends in what you are looking for your trip. Don't expect to find caribean beaches or anything paradisiac.
Mar del plata is a very big city and its full of movment all year long. You'll find lots of bars and discos, vgood girls, cheap services (compared to bs as assuming you are going out of season) some good restaurants and hotels. Beach is okay for argentinean standars but if you are looking for nicer beaches you`ll be better taking some days in punta del este.. but keep in mind that punta del este is a small town out of season.
If you just want to relax with your girlfriend / friends in a nice resort and don`t care a lot about spending some extra bucks, i`ll go for punta del este.
If you want to go to a big city with nightlife, and a lot cheaper, i`ll go to mar del plata.
(always assuming off season!)

Luis.

Imakefrush pointed out that this place is in Palermo Hollywood, but make sure you go to the new location in Hollywood (Bonpland 1944) rather than the old location, which is still listed on their website on the "donde estamos" part.

For any of yall that are coming here late October/ early November. I am going to rent out my apartment for 1.5 months. I live in Palermo Hollywood (Carranza and Guatemala). It is a 2 story loft with a big 16'x12' window facing the street. I am not going to post pictures now bc a) I don't know how to and b) it is currently being remodeled, so the few crappy photos I have look nothing like what it will look in a couple of weeks. The apartment is about 60 m2

Here are some of the amenities:
reliable broadband internet
one 24" (1920x1200) samsung
one 30" (1600x1200) dell
external video card adapter (so a normal laptop can use both monitors)
26" TV with DVD and surround sound
black out curtains with motorized roller (i might be getting a projector to play on the screen)
'extra-queen' sized bed
AC with remote
dry bar
weekly maid service included
door man that can fix stuff for you

I will be charging $1000US a month (or $1500 for Oct 29th-Dec 17th) and $1000US security deposit. All can be done with Stars or FTP transfers. PM me if you are interested and we can set up a meet if you are here or I can send you pics if you are not here.

Hello guys,

Some of you might remember me from TheMetetron's thread, where I posted a bit.

Last couple of months I was in lurking mode because I couldn't remember my password, and I was to lazy to get it back.

I'm local so I guess I will be able to help you with stuff, or just contribute to the thread.

During the time I didn't post I was flirting with going busto, and I was also moving in into a new app, so I kind off excluded myself from meet ups at restaurants, but now that I'm doing better I would be happy to join you anytime soon.

Not really. In theory one should pay, but fiscal system / controll in argentina is very limited, almost only to big firms / land owners.
I live from online poker and never payd 1 cent, never had a problem, and talked about it with lawyers / accountants and they all believe that paying is not ownly not necessary but stupid.
If you are a forgainer for sure you don`t have to pay for your ATM extractions.
If you need to cash out international cheks ( which is in theory illegal ) there are ways to do so, and it is a very common practice (and really safe concerning legal problems) and you need to know someone who does it ( usualy working for a bank, but doing it "out of the system" ) that may charge you a comission usually 3 - 5 % ( of course as the transaction is not "legal" you should do this with someone of confidence, better if it is someone that has been long time in this bussines, or well known to some friend or relative)

Just got back from Crobar tonight, great time. A situation arose and we wanted some peoples thoughts on it.

I was having a hard time dealing with relentless strobe lights and decided to chill near the entry way for a while to recover.

As Kowboi, StealthCow and I are BS'ing this guy and girl roll in. This girl is sick hot, and I am not exaggerating when I call her a ~9.5. 5'10", C-D cups, gorgeous face, slender build. (not much of an ass, but thats part of a slender build.) The are dancing a bit and cuddling etc.

I comment to StealthCow about how this guy is doing very well for himself. He was probably 5'6", not particularly good looking or well dressed.

As I was saying this, the two of them roll up to Kowboi and start BSing with him. They speak enough English to get buy. After a while Kowboi is chatting with the dude and I am chatting it up with the girl.

She is from Ecuador and is here studying. I speak spanish and had no problems chatting it up. After a while dude heads into the crowd.

Kowboi tells me how this guy was saying they are just **** buddies, not bf/gf. And that sometimes the hook up with this girls friend, who we saw momentarily, also very cute, but not a knockout like this girl. Kowboi agreed that that's really hot, awesome etc.

Guy asked Kowboi if he'd want to come back to this girls apartment with the three of them.

Please help us assign probabilities to outcomes:
[] Kowboi ****s hottest girl ever, very hot girl, taking turns with sketchy argentine, and has best story ever.
[] Kowboi get supper aids.
[] Kowboi gets robbed.
[] Kowboi wakes up -1 kidney.
