see you there

Sorry gents, I have plans. But I've been there before, not a bad pie. Spinach pizza with salsa blanca was very good. I'll try my best to make it next week.

Would anyone recommend living in Punta Del Este, that place seems sick. Like the Monte Carlo of South America.
Im an argentinian 22 years old. I`ll try to start participating in this thread, maby I can help you guys with some doubts. I play full tilt 1/2 1/.5 nl my screen is lrpoker.

I own a house at Punta del Este, I vacation there since I was born for 1 month or so every year.

I can tell you that the good days start with the summer, but specially after chrismas ( weather and people ). You should expect at least 20 days with lots o movment and night life, and maby 15 / 20 more days after 15 of january but far less people.

The high season has shortned a lot in the last years, and I can tell by my experience ( and I know a bunch of people wh live there all year ) that Punta del Este is a gohst town 10 out of 12 months.

Not comparable to Bs As in any sense. It is a small city with no infraestructure or any kind of social / cultural life beyond summer.

I'll recomend going a few days for New Year,, lots of partys going on and you`ll see argentinean most beautiful girls all together there.

Luis.

Anyone have any experience of the casino boats in Puerto Madero?

Do they offer poker? If so, what type, blinds and level of players?

I have been back to the states for a few weeks now. But I spent 1.5 months in BA and then backpacked through Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, and Peru in another 1.5 month span. It is cool to see a new thread on this as the last thread was what motivated me to live in BA. Maybe I will post a big trip report and start contributing in this thread a little bit.

last time i went there was a horrible structure with a 20 pesos ante and a 1000 peso max buy in. rake was 10% uncaped.
if you want to buy in in the middle of a match ( every 2 hours they cash out and start again ) you have to do it with the average of the table.
play is very soft. there are some regulars, but they are donks. The play usually goes prety slow.
Not good imo.

Hey,

Two of us got in today, staying in Palermo Soho, but we can meet up anywhere. If anyone wants to dinner, or go out, or walk around and show us some places give us a call at 1558770915. We are a little hesitant to do too much exploring on our own after nightfall.

ProkkeR,

Funny that you would mention it. I have just spent a couple of hours trying to find clubs in B.A. and I was going to ask if anyone was going to Pascha on Saturday when Mr. C is playing. I'm just getting into the house/techno scene, but since I just got home from a week in Barcelona I'm suffering from serious techno/dance withdrawal

I'm arriving to B.A. on Monday. Please write some more about Moonpark or PM me.

If you'd given a little more warning, I'd have been happy to help. Not sure I can Saturday though. We'll see.

Don't be worried about exploring after nightfall. Seriously.

We are located in Palermo Soho, and are in need of some computer electronics. We need adapters to convert an Argentine plug to fit a US plug. I think we blew up our router and need a new one, and my CPU fan got damaged on the plane. If anybody knows of a place in Palermo where I can find these things, I would rly appreciate it.

Just the things to allow the plugs to fit into the wall you can get at just about any "ferreteria" for real cheap. If you need something to actually convert the voltage the only place I've ever seen them is this place called galerias jardin on Florida street. There are a bunch of different electronics stores spread out over many floors. You'll have to ask around to find which one (s) sell that device. You should also be able to find a new router somewhere there as well.

Thanks a lot for the help. We went on a major walking adventure and found a new router. We just got back and are going to rest up and then head out for some supper if anyone is interested. Our cell number is posted earlier in this thread.

I like Crobar in palermo.

Moonpark 5th anniversary
Hernan Cattaneo
Eelke Kleijn
Centro costa salguero, (v very close to Pacha)

you get your tickets in ticketek, you can either buy them on the phone with credit card and ask them to send it to you, or simply get them at one of their shops (arround 35$ or 110 pesos)

imakefrush,

I'll be there tonight. Do you just have to show up, or do you want to know before hand? Also is that 21.00 sharp or does it mean more like 21.30?

RSVP (Telling me your coming) is not necessary. 21:00 sharp is usually appreciated bc some restaurants are smaller/busy, so you might not get a seat if you show up too late. See you there.

It probably shouldn't, just make sure to tell then they are used and for personal use. I told them my monitor was for video games.
