DC is the one who would leave the only fight that would make him a true champion. John Jones seems to not care much who he fight for his belt

UFC is a complete and total joke, they should all just go to rizin

Was kinda weird he gassed after 1 round after looking in such great shape.

If it's the weight cut, LHW would be a good idea right now. That division is hot garbage with Johnson retiring. Weidman could easily be top 5..
He gassed in the second round. He also admitted his family was getting in the way of his training. He even tried to move to his parents house for fight camp and couldn't???

He had a massive skill advantage over most of the field and hasn't really improved since he won the belt despite training with Wonderboy.

Seems Rumble is headed to the NFL to do something with the LA Rams.

That would explain the random question to Dana at the post-fight presser.
04-10-2017 , 04:44 PM
He denied those rumors but who knows

How amazing is it that the deepest division in the LOLUFC is championed by Bisping and on top of that hasn't fought a legit contender in over a year
04-10-2017 , 04:56 PM
Second deepest? Lightweight is always the deepest

Did he say anything ditching his fighter post fight? lol

Btw does anything thing rumble told Cormier that he was retiring ? Seems like Cormier knew when he said you go first
04-10-2017 , 05:47 PM
Actually yes, and its not what it seems.

This is the rudest post in history. Cliffs, man! Cliffs.

I can't believe an NFL team would have any interest in him.

Wtf at this story.

Given the log-jam that the MW division is dealing with, a rematch won't actually get in the way of either Chris or Gegard's track. If that doesn't happen, I think Chris gets a guy on the low end of the top 10 and beats his ass like a red-headed step-child.

Then, they match up Gegard with Romero for the interim belt. Winner of Jacare/Whitaker challenges and everybody just ignores Bisping/GSP. Winner of that is never offered another fight for the rest of their career and we just use the interim belt to determine the middleweight champ.

Re: Weidman gassing

I'd have to re-watch it but I recall a punch early in the 2nd round taking the wind out of Chris' sails. Gegard mentioned this in the post-fight conference as well.

They're re-upping on wife beaters?

Gegard was gassed too, just not nearly as bad.

Dana White says Rockhold has been offered the UFC 212 fight and accepted. Just need to see if Silva accepts now.

Waste of a fight for Rockhold imo, but it would be hilarious if he some how got KO'd. Kinda sounds like Silva doesn't want it though.

Also don't forget, 3 years ago Gus TKO'd...Jimi Manuwa

Silva's team has said Rockhold isn't one of the fights they're considering, and I don't really blame him. He needs to take on appropriate match-ups, and given the way things are run these days, he'd get a rematch with Bisping for the title by beating anybody.

It's interesting that both Gegard is up for grabs and Jacare will be after this Saturday. I'd be a massive statement if Bellator managed to get them. Depends on how much money they'd need to not care about a UFC title. Both have complained for quite some time about UFC pay and management.

Caring about a UFC title is becoming less of a factor anyway. UFC is screwing themselves with their matchmaking for belts.

Top guys and new prospects will look elsewhere because they know that they might become the best and beat everybody and still not get a shot.

Also, even if they do, it might be one of these interim belts thrown around everywhere.

working on the new scoring system and i'm stuck on some jargon.

my scoring system will result in a draw more often, so there will need to be two types of draws.

one draw as a result of limited engagement, too close to call because nobody landed anything, and the other draw as a result of too much action, impossible to determine a clear winner.

this way there can be built in compensation from UFC for an action packed draw. perhaps each fighter could still get their win bonus, or at least half.

"draw without prejudice" for action packed fight
"draw with prejudice" for boring fight

doesn't seem to fit quite right and maybe doesn't fit at all but i can't think of anything better. help!

So a Hunt vs Bigfoot draw or a Woodley Thompson 2 draw
04-12-2017 , 12:41 PM
under my system woodley wins both fights but yes!
