I didn't know that stuff about cormier. That's terrible. He's seems to carry himself well considering all that.

notorious *******s are a real drain to be around, but they sure as hell sell ppvs better than all around good dudes

The thing with Bisping is he doesn't play a douche, he is a douche.
04-06-2017 , 06:56 AM
Bisping is great, he just has a massive chip on his shoulder that people never give him the credit for being the skilled world class fighter he is.

DC is great too and I really don't get why the fans boo him. I think Rumble will beat him this time though.

Q. Which UFC fighter would you most want as a son-in-law?

A. Daniel Cormier is really ****ing high up that list.

Cormier getting booed is bizarre. He seems like a great guy and is also way underrated as a fighter - he could probably make 185 yet would also be favourite against almost every HW out there (his HW resume is way underrated - Bigfoot, Barnett, Mir, Nelson without losing a single round). Dude is a beast. Also great are the attempts to develop a mic game/persona - antithetical to his personality but good for the sport/his career.

Bisping definitely plays the heel in order to score cheap heat. He's good at it - easier for him to do than DC because Bisping is naturally more of a dbag.

Who would you put on the bottom of the list? Is warmachine the rock bottom?
04-06-2017 , 12:47 PM
War Machine & Joe Son
04-06-2017 , 02:21 PM
I've always liked DC and like him as a pundit - I though most people did but I may be way off there. His dialogue with Jones when they were supposedly off air was amazing (hopefully it wasn't a set up).

Re War Machine - obv he's turned out to be a horrendous piece of ****, but I didn't feel he came off badly on TUF. With the horrible upbringing he had I was pulling for him to do well in the show.
04-06-2017 , 02:40 PM
Yeah, war machine has legit mental issues and it was clear he was wrestling with it back in tuf. He succumbed.
04-06-2017 , 03:57 PM
This the last fight on Mousassys contract and he's been giving interviews about wanting more money.

I feel if he loses he might be going to Bellator. Hell maybe even if he wins ;\

i dont feel like he's a victim of mental illness as much as he's just a ****ing psychopath. he held her captive for like 2-3 hours beating on her and she was bruised like he had been leg kicking her

To be clear, I'm not excusing the **** he did, but being a psychopath is a mental disorder. I remember his interviews in tuf he was showing glimpses of it that seemed like a cry for help.
04-06-2017 , 04:41 PM
psychopathy is a personality disorder, not a mental illness
04-06-2017 , 04:59 PM
Okay, my bad. Is a personality disorder within the control of person who has it?
04-06-2017 , 05:11 PM
not really. afaik, most if not all mental illness has some sort of recommended treatment that is effectual to some degree. i mean i can't personally make the distinction between sociopathy and psychopathy as it relates to war machine but there is no real treatment for it and some say that clinical/psychiatric settings are often counterproductive in that they offer the opportunity for sociopaths to improve their skills as manipulators
04-06-2017 , 05:12 PM
i know you weren't making excuses for him or anything like that, and obviously hes a victim of whatever trauma he's suffered in life, but i don't think sociopathy/psychopathy is a mitigating factor as it pertains to sentencing. tilts me to see any hint of victimization on his part. he is exactly the kind of person who belongs locked in a jail cell.
04-06-2017 , 05:22 PM
DC looking rough in the new embeddeds. And as someone else posted earlier ITT he looked fatter than usual

Feel like things are adding up for the Rumble win.
04-06-2017 , 05:33 PM
Does anyone remember a promo spot with AJ way back when he was 170 where he said something about how he was going to leave his opponent saying "I've never been beaten by black man that bad"? I'm pretty sure it was for the fight against the TUF winner that beat war machine.

Anyway that's when I became a fan of his and always thought he'd have a belt. I wish he didn't have the domestic violence **** that I am ashamed to overlook at this point.
04-06-2017 , 05:43 PM
just did some looking into that and it looks like he's a confirmed woman beater. i'd be willing to possibly overlook the workplace incident recently where he allegedly grabbed his babymama's arm (sounds pretty weak), but not with that no contest plea with the battery charge against his other ex-gf some years prior
04-06-2017 , 05:48 PM
Some stalking and also went ham on a woman who pissed him off at the gym, including throwing her yoga mat across the room and then decimating her on his social media. Not a good look.

04-06-2017 , 05:53 PM
yea i saw that yoga mat story and a screenshot of the now-deleted facebook rant, super classless. obviously either roid raging or just a huge *******

i mean what do we really expect, guy missed WW by like 20 pounds or some **** in his last UFC fight before they cut him. clearly has issues with discipline, selfishness, professionalism, etc
04-06-2017 , 06:01 PM
Well, he's not son in law material, but I'll watch him knock out consenting opponents.

You don't even have a kid yet right? Man, if you get to work ASAP and have a girl in a year, she'll be marrying DC when she's 18 and he's 57!
