its not like they are making less money than before, they fired a ton of people to reduce costs and must have as many people watching possibly more.
The walking dead is pure trash and makes a ton of money still

They are 100% making less money because of the debt they have to service.
And their first 3 PPVs have bombed it sounds like. Read somewhere they've had one of their worst first quarter in a really long time. And not many big fights on the horizon besides GSP vs Bisping, which I don't think will do as well as they expect.
Every time a rival organization would flounder, Dana would chime in with the same line about people on the outside thinking they know, only to find out how hard fight promotion is when they jump into the game. I have plenty of negative things to say about the Fertitas and Dana, but they knew the fight game and cultivated the UFC with admirable skill.
The most impressive thing, IMO, was their match-making and the ability to keep most fighters mostly happy while retaining the integrity of the belts. I really think that if they weren't planning on selling the company, they wouldn't have given Conor as much slack as he got, which was a precursor to the divisional disarray we're seeing now. I also have a suspicion that they wouldn't have implemented the strict anti-doping policy, and the Reebok deal almost certainly never happens.
All three of those things contributed to the current problems in their own way, but it's all on a bed of new management just not knowing the fight game. They're smart people, though, so maybe it's just a rocky start and they learn from their mistakes. This is the only sport I follow, so I hope they fix things before they start taking on water. My out there theory is the best thing for the sport, both its long term viability and the athlete's interests, is a fighters union.

I wouldn't expect a big change in direction yet, things are likely to get worse before they get better. Most companies at that size post acquisition are going to run despite their executives not because of them.

no no no. **** that, UFC needs to EAD and everybody should just go over to RIZIN
Marc Diakiese vs Teemu Packalen from prelims of the UFC Fight Night on right now is well worth the viewing if you can find it. I don't see a clip on reddit yet.

1. Chocolatito Gonzalev v. Wisaksil Wangek. Chocolatito 46(38)-0-0 heads in to the fight as consensus #1 p4p fighter. Wisaksil 41(38)-4-1 record mostly comes against weak opposition but having gone 1-3-1 in his first 5 fights climbed to Boxrec's #7 115 lber (out of 669). This was good guy, the best fight of the 2017 so far.
2. GGG v. Daniel Jacobs. Triple G I presume you all know. 36(33)-0, 23 consecutive KOs against good opposition, the #1 MW. Jacobs, 32(29)-1 is no joke. On a 12(12)-0 run, Jacobs is considered the #2 MW & GGG's toughest opponent so far. This one is also really good.
Hope it was a one off thing, would suck if he turns out to be a dick. This is the first fight of his I've seen and he looked awesome as hell. Although his opponent looked kinda terrible.
Tysons head moooment is just incredible to watch. It's ridiculous.

Tyson ate that uppercut like it was your children. Wouldn't be surprised if he dipped it in Evander Holyfield's BBQ sauce first.
Also, re: Golovkin / Jacops
Spoiler:
Jacops won that fight. And I was being generous toward GGG on my scoring throughout, giving him one of the first three rounds, and a couple others he probably didn't deserve, like the 9th (?) where he did nothing but win the last thirty seconds.
UFC is so ****ed. They handcuffed themselves with the Reebok deal. They make a pittance off the deal and now have to pay fighters triple to compete salary wise. Even if they go back to sponsorships they will still have to eat the bloated contracts. Then USADA on top of that. Still a cash cow but they've made it difficult to compete in an otherwise advantageous situation.
war machine found guilty on 29 of 34 felony charges, mis-trial on the attempted murder charges so maybe (hopefully) the DA comes back at him with those
hope he rots in prison the rest of his ****ing life, goddamn psychopath piece of ****
