they are both reputable... and both represent the top of secondary market resellers in terms of expense. I have always been able to find a particular piece for less money elsewhere.

Does that mean you’ve seen it in person or are you just commenting on it in general? If you’ve seen it in person, what is the back like compared to the pics?

No, I seen a video clip of it but not in person or I might've been tempted to grab it and run . It's out of my price range,

Re: Let's Talk Watches
Got invited in for a new strap and went for a dark blue rather than replacing it with the same brown one. I have kept the original brown one in case I want to go back. I had been thinking about replacing the strap anyway so this was a nice surprise and saved £3-400!
The aftercare after buying this watch has been top quality, I would guess every other month I'm invited to various events which I assume are just there to get me to buy more but they're still nice. Even got a hand written Christmas card from the manager of the shop. Would very much recommend!

Yeah, I think I probably bought it around 18 months ago, I can't remember exactly.
I absolteuly love it too, aside from my Garmin Fenix it's the watch I wear most of the time. It probably goes through more wear and tear than other fiftysixes but it feels a shame to leave it at home.

Re: Let's Talk Watches
It's great complication... I went in to look at the new Jaeger Lecoultre annual calender moon phase with jump date at 6 O clock in steel, but they only had the 18k version. These two watches look related.

That is also a very beautiful watch. When I bought this I actually looked at the JLC on the same day before deciding on this one. The functionality is very similar and I agree, they could definitely be related. I also looked at an A Lange Sohne but felt it was a little too unconventional as an every day piece.
I went for the VC in the end on what was really a gut feeling, despite the jump in price for what you rightly say is a similar looking piiece. I just looked at it and loved it. When you're buying something like this just buy something that you love.

That model is very cool. I went with the black. I can’t believe I dropped nearly 5 large on a watch though.

Agreed, very beautiful watch.
I wouldn't worry - there are far worse things to spend money on!

Re: Let's Talk Watches
Thanks
My goal is to have a “real” watch to give each of my sons.
This was number two.
First was a Hamilton.

just picked up the GMT master batman in vegas, wasnt sure if it would be pepsi or batman, but very pleased with it. Great looking watch, particularly on a jubilee bracelet

Favours were pulled in, so they wanted it to be a surprise, they knew I was interested in those two so I was told “they have something you’ll like” good enough for me.

Less than a year later, this watch sold in a matter of hours off reddit for $13,000.

Not quite the same but the SBGJ235 has similar vibes and is much more attainable:

What’s a solid night out watch that’s classy at around the $1,500 price point? Appreciate it
