So people who have five watches and bricks of benjis don't keep the watches in some sort of box that keeps them wound and running? I'm still on just the one watch, but always thought if I were to get more I should get one of those.

I need to get a watch winding case. The omega needs to be manually wound. The stack of be his isn't to show off its just where I keep my poker BR.

Radio Room watch is intense.

Rathix is boss.

I went surfing with my scuba dude, wiped out tons in shallow water, and now it has a scratch on the glass.

its a vintage Telor Chronograph that was my grandfathers. He worked for the post office for 30 or so years and I believe it was a retirement gift from them. I don't know the exact story since he died in the early 90s when I was young.

lol thanks buddy

Where do you surf? I am still learning to surf in New Smyrna Beach, Fl. I saw this pretty sick looking Ripcurl watch I was going to buy since I dont like to wear my Submariner or Speedmaster when I go to shady poker rooms like Ocala, Jacksonville, or Miami where I might get robbed. I was going to buy it expecting an $80 price tag or so but **** it was $400! No way I am spending that much on a Ripcurl watch.

I just ordered a band just like this with deployment clasp off Amazon.com. I doubt its as good as a Hirsch but it was only $50. I still want to go with a dark leather look with the speedmaster but this will do for awhile for a little change

Hopefully it will fit my small wrist, if not ill take the deployment clasp off of it and use it on another strap. Genuine omega deployment clasps are like $350+!! Thats insane

Bought this on ebay for $50 last week. Once it came in, I was really happy with my purchase until I realized that the hands in the middle don't function at all, and are essentially just there for design purposes.

If I wear this in public, can I get away with saying it's just the style or something, or am I better off just not wearing it around people I give a crap about? Maybe it's not even that noticeable altogether?

I don't know what you mean by the hands in the middle, but I'd bet your wrong.
What do the pushers at 2 and 4 do?

edit: hmmm subdial placement is off for a quartz

He's talking about the chronograph I would think.

For $50, you can get a Seiko 5 (aesthetics leave some to be desired though).

lol, is that a nice way of saying I should just toss this thing out the window? Kind of a shame, it really does look nice

Oh and the pushers at 2 and 4 are just there for aesthetics, not actually buttons. Just as useful as the chronograph

tens humor me and push the 2 o clock really hard. I just can't believe they would fake a chrono.

That watch used to be sold at Nordstrom's. On the product page, one of their "experts" answered a question about the chrono functionality:
Hello! The chronograph dials on this watch are decorative.
The watch is no longer available, but doing an image search you can find numerous sites linked to Nordstrom's which show the watch sold for $19.95.

I think this watch sets the new "antithesis" of this thread. I do like that probably non functional screws line up quite nicely though.

If you like the way it looks, who gives a **** if the chrono is not functional?

I feel like it would be similar to someone sporting fake Louis Vuitton products. But sba pointed out this same exact watch was actually sold at Nordstrom, so that's good enough for me in regards to authenticity I guess. Thanks guys
