That strap is an insult for a $4k watch. Like physically insulting. Thin "textile"(nylon? cotton?), not backed by rubber or leather, no support for the holes so the one you use will get frayed. That's like a $5 strap, man.

The watch itself is gorgeous but so weird to cut costs like that when Nomos seems to be scaling up their prices to compete more with Omega instead of Longines.

It's a perfectly cromulent diver?

They redesigned the Hydroconquest at Baselworld 2018, cleaned up the face, added a ceramic bezel, changed the size options a little, and added a VERY attractive gray/gray colorway.

I don't think the new model has hit retail yet, but likely it'll cause the older version to drop in price, which is good, because the old Hydroconquest was not a tremendous value given what Oris and Seiko and Christopher Ward and such were doing in that same pricerange.

Weird I can't find the 44mm HQ by just browsing the site but if I use the watch finder it shows up.

Anyways, fine, nice watch. It's a diver, not a ton of creativity but if you like 'em go for it.

PutJust wore my Monza for the first time after getting it back from Tag.

Chrono hand is still not at 12 o clock. Back it goes again...

frustrating, how long did it take door to door, and how much did it cost?

Took a few weeks via the Jeweller, they "fixed" it under warranty.

Consumer rights act says something along the lines that they get "1 chance to repair or replace a fault that occurs in the first 6 months after purchase". It's after 6 months now, but they didn't fix it first time. I'll see what the jeweller says.

NATO lovers, I am using the OEM nato from Tudor on my black bay and I like how it feels on the wrist and the light weight of t but I hate the fact that the strap always loosens so I have to wear it on the tightest spot but the two loops bunch up right at the buckle. Any way to avoid this?

Is jomashop 100% legit? Any downside at all to buying there over a brick and mortar authorized dealer? Considering a 5 figure purchase of a new panerai.

Jomashop sells authentic product but you won't get the manufacturer's warranty. So that's the downside

Gotcha, so any real risk beyond having to pay for an ~$800 servicing from the manufacturer early on? I assume low risk of significant defect?

jomashop is grey market, if you are looking to spend 5 figures i would recommend looking into finding a reputable seller on watchrecon that includes a manufacturer warranty

Well, that's the risk of ownership cost, but it also will seriously hurt your resale down the road.

I assume the 5 figure Panerari's are all inhouse movements so I'd try for an AD or bighurt's suggestion. If you were getting one of the IWC or Tudor's that are still expensive but just have a Sellita or ETA Jomashop would be fine but if you're gonna need to send it to the manufacturer for servicing definitely better to have an AD.
