People that are wanting to bet on THE fight for entertainment purposes and aren't going to back a steep favorite for pennies. Not too many sharps betting at Bovada.

Odds on this might get wonky along the the way, similar to how the super bowl spectacle has different factors manipulating the line.

I mean, I'm a huge sportsbetting donk (see: Bovada, also I've been known to kick around $50 betting on the goddamn Pro Bowl...) but this still seems crazy

Hey rep, programming alert that our boy Colby Covington is fighting Stun Gun Saturday morning.

I don't know where limits are at. The line will sharpen once they open up and Bovada will follow suit in their own way. I'd bet whatever you're going to overall, at these numbers imo.

Conor fans always skew odds, but this can't be all just Conor fans, it's gotta be a bunch of people who've never watched fighting before. I am continually surprised at how stupid people are, and I already thought most were stupid to begin with. But Donald Trump is our president and people are betting on Conor at only +500 against Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match.

Maybe the Government is really putting something in the water supply? lol I can't explain this absolute nonsense.

It's limits.
06-15-2017 , 12:11 PM
The real (and only) question is how long does Floyd carry the fight in an effort to legitimize this fiaso before he puts him down? I mean Conor could barely outbox Nate Diaz ffs. (if he did)

Kinda surprised that only Bovada is offering the fight. I'd think sites would wanna jump on this, I'm sure Bovada has gotten tons of action already.

I liked your post pre-edit. Don't know why you deleted it instead of adding to. You had the right idea.

Just so we're clear, Manny Pacquiao is currently a larger favorite over undefeated boxing prospect Jeff Horn than 2nd greatest boxer of his generation Floyd Mayweather is over 0-0 Conor.

Good lord

Just wait for that nation of Horn fans to be heard with their $.

I dunno I had just woken up and was pre coffee and thought I was just rambling on lol. I'm a bit out of my depth in terms of how betlines actually work and figured I was probably wrong.

smh oddsharks only showed Bovada .

Just to put things in perspective, here is Conor getting tooled by a the 30th best welterweight:

Apparently footage of this session was released earlier, but edited to make Conor appear to have done better than he really did.
06-15-2017 , 03:06 PM
Also I think Van Heerden said he had just come off vacation and hadn't spared or trained in a few months.

Honestly if Conor wins I'm just gonna assume Floyd threw the fight for the 6 million PPV buy rematch.
06-15-2017 , 03:43 PM
Bovada down to -500...
06-15-2017 , 03:50 PM
The price has very little to do with the real odds and everything to do with how likely it is Mayweather throws the fight either of his own volition or gets forced to do it - whether or not that # is >15 % I have no idea.

All,

Remember when Roy Jones jr fell off the cliff fighting wise and went from untouchable lightning to punching bag?

Would be crazy if this fight just happened to coincide with that sharp speed/reflex dropoff for Floyd.

Also, wtf, Roy Jones jr is still taking fights? I had no idea he was still fighting the last couple years.

Wasn't RJJ decline after going up 25 pounds to HW adding a ton of muscle via roids and then dropping back down? From my understanding he looked completely different physically. Also he dropped the weight super fast to fight Tarver IIRC. Like in a few months. Also his style completely relied on speed & reaction times where as Floyd is a technical wizard.

GSP used to cite RJJ for why he didn't want to rush going up in weight and adding muscle because if it doesn't work out dropping back down can be brutal on the body.
06-15-2017 , 04:26 PM
Does that impact on his chin though, or more the stamina? He's been painfully chinny in recent years.

McGregor will have the hardest punching power mayweather has faced right?

I mean sure on paper he gets demolished and Mayweather shouldnt get touched but goddamn ill be jumping screaming if he lands any big left

Suckers,

Yes, this is essentially spot on.

Roy has a legit claim as a top5 OAT boxer and rapidly ran out of ways to challenge himself.

No, several boxers Floyd has faced likely punch harder than Conor, because they've trained to box.
