I was definitely worried at first, because it would feel creepy to have a 15 year old girl in north south lol, but yea it was no big deal. ( never had her in north south though, and never intend to lol. )
I train 4 times a week with a 15 year old girl who is ranked #9 in the world at Judo actually, at first I thought it would be strange but shes a monster and yea you get used to its super quick. She is insane though, she does BJJ 3 times a week, Judo 3 times a week plus wrestling. She competes like every other weekend, everywhere in Canada, USA and got ranked #9 in the world at her weight in Germany a few months back. Its strange because shes tiny and a 15 year old girl, so you don't go like full 100% man strength on her, but if you get lazy and let her pass your guard she will attack and embarrass some big guys haha, plus she does not get tired. So you basically have to go pretty hard with her or she gets mad that shes being taken easy on.

Proof of me being a amazing bad ass, here is me bow and arrow choking her!

Heres her against someone more her size at the Judo worlds. Collar choked the girl in 18 seconds.

#9 in the world among all women judo players... or just under 18 or something?

Her weight. She just competed at the Canada nationals and won the youth, under 20, and came 2nd overall senior at her weight. Apparently she got kinda screwed in the seniors.

LOL wow. Cerrone looked shocked, looked like he was trying to go somewhat light but that landed so clean.

It looked like it had no force behind it, and I doubt Cerrone was trying to put any into it.

anybody who doesn't want to fight a gay guy can just forfeit their match. no problem.
02-29-2012 , 12:52 AM
Anyone saying they would feel weird/wouldn't fight a gay person is being homophobic. How are women ok to roll with but not gays???

It's perfectly reasonable for someone to not want to roll around on the ground with a homosexual and doesn't indicate any negative feelings towards them.
02-29-2012 , 01:13 AM
Also you need to take into consideration the difference between a regular gay guy and a gay porn star.

Would you feel different between rolling with just a normal chick and a girl who is a porn star? Of course you would, and I think that applies here too.

Not really taking any side, just pointing that out.
02-29-2012 , 01:15 AM
I don't have a problem with anyone opting out of this, but saying it isn't homophobic is just incorrect.

Imo, either there is some kind of sexual tension, and its probably not ok to roll with 15yo girls. Or there isn't and it shouldn't be weird to grapple with a gay person if you're not homophobic at all.
02-29-2012 , 01:16 AM
Stim-How does that matter? Are you worried gay porn star is going to think he's in the middle of a scene and put it in your butt?

But if you touch a gay dude he'll think that means you want the gaysex.

It should also be taken into consideration that Fedor liked to get naked with a bunch of other men in a steam room and proceed to spank each other with branches & leaves.

That at the very least is mildly gay.

i don't really see how it can be homophobic (it is) but you don't have a problem with it. would it be ok for phresh to refuse to roll with a black guy, or a jew? it's either bigoted or it isn't, and you're either against bigotry or you're not.

if somebody is coming to your class and rubbing his dick on your ear then the problem is not that he's gay, it's that he's rubbing his dick on your ear. don't kid yourself that the average gay guy is getting off on smelling your funky pits while you try to tear his arms out of their sockets.

(and i say this having wrestled and boxed with several gay men and having no problem with it whatsoever. i think it would be way more weird to spar with a woman due to the size / strength difference).

In general, porn stars are filthy sex craved creatures with daddy issues. Being willing to suck peen/take it in the poop-chute on camera for money definitely adds something to the equation of sex comfortableness.

Are you telling me you'd feel exactly the same grappling some normal college girl as you would a girl who was a porn star? There is definitely something added to the sex equation when someone takes the wenkie on camera.

Dont care about the gay thing. Girls should be banned from the mat. They cause too much chaos and drama. No way i roll with a under 18 girl. I would maybe like to roll with with a chick who has a legit black belt and not one they got by banging the instructor. Im pretty sure i could take most any female black belt
02-29-2012 , 01:29 AM
Ya, I mean it's homophobic, I'm not saying it isn't. I don't have a problem with someone refusing to roll with a gay person because it makes them uncomfortable. I never said it wasn't bigoted an I would think thats terrible if someone couldn't be openly gay because of this. There are plenty of people who wouldn't want to roll with the opposite sex who aren't being bigoted it just makes them uncomfortable. This is not nearly the same as someone's race IMO but I could be wrong.

ive wrestled with girls , and ive been fine with it , im not sure i would wrestle with a gay guy , im uncomfortable as it is wrestling w/ straight guys , fwiw i live in a pretty open minded city about gay people and have plenty of gay friends .

it's actually a lot like race. during segregation (and even after that, hell i heard similar comments growing up in the south in the 80's) people didn't want to play sports against blacks, they were called gross, oily, smelly, and you also had the whole "wild beasts straight from the jungle" angle.

i'm sure if you ask ten guys who don't want to roll with a gay man you'd get a couple saying it has to do with more than discomfort (HIV, etc), although nobody is going to come out and say it in this thread.

would it be ok if phresh didn't want to play hoop with a gay dude? i mean, boxing out is basically begging for the buttsecks, right? should gay dudes have to announce their gayness before they sign up at phresh's gym? if a gay dude rolled with him for years and he never found out, was he "violated" in some way?
02-29-2012 , 01:40 AM
I think a major contributing factor is it has more to do with people not being comfortable with their own sexuality. This has absolutely nothing to do with race.

Well... to be fair going for lots of knee bars means you will constantly give up position towards your exit only.

"Girls should be banned from the mat. They cause too much chaos and drama."

Not sure if serious.
