not sure whether to laugh or cry... gonna have to go and smoke some herb while i make up my mind.
Apparently his levels of THC were so off-the-charts that he must have been high during the actual fight. Wrap your head around that - Diaz tokes down a phatty, then proceeds to beat the then #1 LW in the world with one of the rarest submissions in MMA.
I just start reading Got Fight by Forrest Griffin, hilarious stuff. Sample quote from his piece on making sure to watch your opponent's fight tapes before a fight:
What not to analyze before a fight:
1. Do not analyze your opponent's cup size because it can be intimidating. For example, Kazushi Sakuraba wear the most gigantic cup known to man. Am I the only one who has noticed this. He's got to do it as a mind-****, kind of like how the U.S. Army dropped huge condoms on Vietnam so the Asian guys would be intimidated by our **** size. And it does work to an extent. Stare at Sakuraba's cup for long enough, it's downright scary.
2. Do not analyze your opponent's pre-fight rituals. For example, Rashad Evans has been know to repeatedly twist his nipples before his fights. That seems problematic to me. It worries me.
But that didn't happen and you are going to see the fight, so let's put that hypothetical to bed and be happy.
Frank is coming across a bit too over confident but he has to sell the fight too. I think he knows deep down Lesnar would have won if it wasn't for the back of the head penalty given to Lesnar and he needs to remove that from his thoughts, plus he needs to keep a positive mindset going into the fight. Confidence and arrogance can cross wires very easily and even more so when your paid to promote something.
