I really hope this happens. Not just for the obvious, but when guys like Wandy and Cro Cop finally got to the UFC, I loved hearing what Rogan and Goldman (berg?) were saying while they had their walkouts. The excitement was awesome. I'm expecting a hell of a speech when/if this happens.

One thing that is confusing to me, however, is why are Dana and Fedor holding 2 separate PC's 2 days apart? Seems strange if they are truly almost done with a deal.

Haha, it's certainly been an eventful week. It's so sick that Fedor-Brock may happen as soon as UFC 103. Luke Thomas on Bloody Elbow just recently said that's what he's heard from multiple sources (presumably in positions to actually have a clue about what's going on.) Going from Hendo-Franklin -> Fedor-Brock is quite the leap.

M-1 Global says Fedor, UFC not close to a deal

Story doesn't deny negotiations are taking place. Just says deal may not be close. Probably just M-1 officials trying to make sure their boy Fedor is the one to announce it.

I gotta admit guys, I'm in full fanboy mode right now and I believe this is going to happen!

Ben Rothwell has signed with UFC. The list of potential opponents for Fedor outside the octagon is shrinking.

lol, as if Rothwell vs Fedor is a fight anyone would want to see.

I would enjoy watching Rothwell take a beating. Much like the Sylvia fight.

Well thats what the Fedor nuthuggers are claiming. Theres "lots of big fights outside of UFC for Fedor" naming Rothwell, Nelson(lol), Overeem and Rogers basically.

There's really just Barnett and possibly Overeem (if he gets a big win next). Werdum just got knocked out, Nelson and Rothwell aren't even top 10. Rogers would be ok if he beat Overeem since he could at least bring an undefeated record to the table as well as 2 top 10 wins in a row. But it's clear now that the top heavyweights are all shifting to the ufc. UFC's hw division was a joke for so long, but is finally getting some ground now.

Like tomorrow, Fedor announces he's with the UFC and on Friday, Dana announces his first fight being with Brock.

i'm kinda thinking back to what Dana said on O n A.....he's a fight fan, he's in the fight making business. He REALLY does want this done as much as possible. I see him going to what ever lengths he can to make this happen. (as long as M1 is not just completely unreasonable to extreeeeme lengths)

At the same time, i think that fedor has to be seeing that his options are just so limited now outside of the UFC. Dana said, "As much as i want this, it takes 2 people to make a deal" and i'm just hoping that Fedor has gotten to the point that he's willing to bend a little on his demands for several reasons. 1- his legacy really would be incomplete if he doesn't do a stint in the UFC facing the best fighters in the world. 2- for the sport 3- for his fans.

for As much posturing has happened on both sides, i just have faith that this is going to happen now. it is time.

the la times thing sounds to me like dana is the source and he did his standard play of getting way too excited about negotiations that are going well but arent done
