Also, Galvao ftw. I saw him rolling against another black belt (with gi) and putting on an absolute clinic. Not really relevant but I'm just a fan of his bjj sickness.

A rumor from Golden Boy on the UG:

"I hear that all mma managers were informed that if any of their clients not currently under contract with the UFC..... sign to be a part of the EA game.......they will forever be banned for fighting in the UFC."

If Filho comes to this fight the same way he last fought Chael Sonnen, then Manhoef is going to tear his head off.

yeah.. recalling his second fight with sonnen (he looked terrible in the first fight too), i remember at one point it seemed like he was talking portuguese to sonnen even though sonnen obviously doesn't know any portuguese. and then in the third round he was looking around the ring randomly.

plus him being a punching bag for the entire fight.

I hope Dana does something to get as many of UFC 100s fights on the PPV as possible. There are some great fights and fighters on the undercard.

ufc 100 seems really overrated to me

some of the main card fights are particularly uninteresting.

jon fitch vs paulo thiago? seems like a complete mismatch. and fitch is such a decision machine anyways.

what doesnt make sense? EA is releasing a video game, dana tells various managers that if their guy signs on for the game, they'll never be signed for the ufc

Just Dana's way to keep Fedor out of the UFC and spotlight.
07-01-2009 , 11:04 PM
Haha if Fedor signed with this game then said " ok fine ill sign whatever I'll come fight for you." Dana would "unban" him at the drop of a hat.

Looks like its Carwin vs Cain at UFC 104 (source bloody elbow). SWEETTTTTTTTTTT if it comes to fruition. Cain's skyrocketing career is going to crash pretty hard. At least Cain is young and will have time to develop.

Seems like the UFC might've been better off avoiding this matchup to farm them both as contenders

it doesn't make sense because its only hurting the ufc. So a bunch of top fighters outside the ufc sign up for the game, and now the ufc can never sign them or they'll be going back on their word.

i'm going to be out in vegas when ufc 100 is going on

i'm really leaning towards going to the pool at mandalay bay to watch the fights on closed circuit in the outdoor setting. I guess it's up on a laaaarge wall projection.

it's 50 a person, but whatever seems like it'd be a pretty cool place to scope it out- not sure what the seating is going to be like (open floorspace possibly?) so it may not be that comfortable.

anyone know any decent alternatives as to where to catch the fights in vegas?

I went to a closed circuit at Mandalay bay that was pretty good. If you do, sit near the top where nobody else is cuz there's a lot of drunk jackasses yelling ******ed sht the whole time. I liked the view of the screens better up there too.

This sounds about as good as your gonna get. I think the casinos have an unwritten rule not to show PPV events that take place in Vegas. I've never been able to watch a UFC event on TV while in Vegas.

07-02-2009 , 04:02 PM
eh, i think more like hendo by decision. i know he'll try and finish the fight but i don't see it happening.
07-02-2009 , 04:29 PM
Commentary is loud and clear, although I think bisping will be standing over hendo if goldie says that. sorry willie
